My computer meets the requirements. FarCry3 used to work fine. It only doesn't now since I began doing the things support said I should!
I have been emailing Ubisoft support for some time now. I get a different person each time I add to the ticket. Each time that new person asks me to do the same as the last one did. Despite me pointing this out they continue to ask me to do what I already did, then send it dxdiag etc that I already sent in twice.
It's safe to assume 2 possible things. Ubisoft support online is spectacularly useless. Or, they are deliberately appearing to be stupid in order that they don't have to help me.
I would not simply like my money back I've spent enough time on this rubbish.
what CPU do you have ?
what Video card do you OWN ?
do you have other things loading up when you boot your PC ?
several backround applications that auto load with Windows may be your issue .. have you tried the troubleshooting step of shutting them all off via MS config ?

remember dumb crap like overwatch or other programs like Discord may be your issue
BACKROUND APPLICATIONS may also cause the game to not launch properly and you may need Exit out of them, or reconfigure them to work properly with Far Cry 4 known apps that can cause this are

dunno what to say man the game run fine here since it shipped on Nov 18th 2014 ...and since then i have built 5 different systems , it even ran on my old Dell dimension e 520 the day it shipped as well as my old Lenovo G505 S laptop
os's used Win 7 ultimate win 7 pro win 8 win 8.1 and win 10 home and Pro
Hi, I don't run anything like that at all. This is now a clean win 10 install.
The only games I really play are half life and farcry and I run them all through steam with a clean start (nothing, not even my netmeter running)
Ubisoft support have asked me 3 times to check the same drivers, they're so infuriating cos they ask same questions over and over.
Thing is with brand new drivers for the video they won't even play. With drivers from last summer they play.
I've got FC3 playing again perfectly, but with FC4 there's no sound after the game proper starts. That's my only issue now.
Each time Ubisoft support replies it's a new person, and they say *check your drivers and send us your dxdiag* I've done this 3 times now lol It's like they can't come up with anything new
dude what sound chip are you using
have ya checked in play back devices and disable all the AMD or Nvidia ones to make sure the game is set to stereo not 7.1 ..5.1 may not be supported by your sound chip if you have dolby digital on .. and you may need new sound drivers ..
i dont own your PC so i dunno
i set mine with a bit rate of 24 bit @ 48000 hz Studio Quality < thats what i use for my ASUS strix Z 270 H motherboard onboard sound ..but i have a high end sound chip on my motherboard
try setting that to 16 bit 44100 HZ
so yea Ubi is correct it all co0mes down to drivers and how you set them
if your using dac or a head set refer to what the headset needs .. yea with some headsets you need to go into their software to edit your play back configuration to use stereo or even 5.1 support sound .. no i do not think 7.1 works on all systems without proper drivers
an i know with razrs ones yea you have to add the game to edit your sound settings .. you have to manually add the game to the Kraken software and make sure a single box = ticked so the game is enabled to use that head set ..IN ITS DRIVERS
so yea its all up to your Drivers for the hardware you use ubisoft is correct on that
