I started training with conquerer a month ago. So I am far away from being a true conq-main. in the beginning, i had a hard time but after a while, this character brought me lots of fun. Winning really was satisfying with him. Now it is just boring. I know it is a bit early but once people get used to his new tactic it will be even worse.
In 1v1 situations, it is just bash light bash light bash light. Fighting another conquerer is so ridiculous the only thing you see is the orange from all the shield bashes.

You need to rise the range of the light attacks. Sometimes they won't connect after a shoulder bash

Unblockable: In gang situations amazing and absolutely useless in 1v1. Also, the stance change is super slow now. So you can't properly defend yourself anymore while you are charging. I liked the old system more.

Full block stance: Great idea, also the flail uppercut is amazing. But only in theory. It is just way to slow to make a use out of it. If you are not absolutely ion the middle with your joystick conquerer jumps in and out of full block stans constantly which is also super frustrating.

I don't get all the people who say he is overpowered and high tier and stuff. It just takes a while to adjust to his only tool (shoulder bashes) after that only the really committed conquerer mains will stick to him.

I love that you can connect your attacks now. Well done.

All in all lots of people elaborated this better than I did. but can you please make the conquerer a heavy again and please make him satisfying to play again. until then I guess I will switch back to another hero or something (just like most of the people in one or 2 weeks)

At first I enjoyed the changes to conq because others had a hard time reacting to them. Now after only a couple days, anyone that plays even slightly defensive can just stop a conq.

shield bash previously was able to cgb after a miss because it was a fast recovery, now it's very reactable and you get gb or dash attacked anyways.(give shield bash hyper armor like LBs so you can't get hit with a light to stop it.)

full block is way too slow to do anything other than feint a heavy but i'd honestly rather let the heavy go and get hit by a light than a gb once they see my feint. (bring full block back to the startup it was before even if you have to take away uppercut let us start a light attack from it like warlords options to keep from gb). now the worst full block in game. Actually seeing as how warlord can light and heavy from full block and only get a headbutt from a block, allow us to get the uppercut on block (or a shield bash on block) but be able to light from it as well.

Soft feint from heavy into bash is so slow (bring it up to kensei's new opener possible) that any sort of attack will take you out and all you get is a light out of it so it's horrid. either make it faster to stop dash attacks or give us hyper armor and allow a heavy on hit since it's so dodgeable.

charge heavy is useless in 1v1s which was explained before I've even tried to block an attack but my guard didn't activate in time and i was just hit out of it. (give us hyper armor while charging so we can trade against someone who comes close since you can get gb out of it.) unblockable should force someone to play more defensive to not get hit from it, not allow them to just hit a fast light and stop you completely while you just wasted the stam to hold it.

as far as the infinite combo... Light attack should keep the slow shield bash after (give us a heavy after the SLOW bash) but a heavy attack should move into a faster one to give a light if they don't dodge. slow bash is just too slow to ever hit someone.

another suggestion would be to follow kensei's pommel design and allow a light after a shield bash miss to protect from gb but they can block after a dodge.

    Here's an idea!

Here's an idea! Since you completely ruined warlord why don't you Nerf op characters LIKE CENTURION GLAD SHUGOKI AND SHAMAN!?!?! This is utter BS all your doing is slightly making some characters better and completely ignoring the true OP characters. As a Warlord main I agree it needed toned down a bit but what you guys did to him is criminal. He needs to be reworked again and all chars need to be boosted stats save a few I mentioned above who really should have been murdered like you did warlord. Get it together, everyone Just plays cent glad shaman and shug now. Because it's pretty much a automatic win against most other chars.

I'm not too thrilled with ALL of the changes.

    1. You gave us an unblockable heavy off of the charged heavy, but took away the damage increase.
Giving us back the "staged" charging would give options.
1st level charge = equals damage buff.
    2nd level charge = unblockable.
We could still mix this up with the heavy cancel, resulting in another tool in his kit.
I'm Pretty sure the raider unblockable still out performs the conqs.

    2. He should be able to charge heavies in the chain.
This would allow him to be less predictible when he's on the offensive, and really require active defense by messing with attack timing.
I don't know how this was missed in his conception, or redesign.

    3. He should have had a charging shield bash.
I know it's WAY too late to go back in the drawing board for this, but it's something else that would have given him more opportunities to stay competitive.

Overall. I greatly appreciate the rework, but I think he still needs some love.

BUG!!!! conq shield bash can be infinite until you run out of stam. ONCE you get a shield bash hold heavy + dash forward + gb they can't move

A few more opinions on conq from reddit

    Captain_Nyet4 Punktevor 10 Tagen
I am also kind of angry about the Conq changes, but ypu can still do your feint into bash on heavies, it's just a soft feint called shield uppercut now. On lights it's no longer possible. But i guess them being 500ms faster in chains makes up for that to a degree. My real problem is that i see changes, but no genuine buffs. Conq now has an unblockable charged attack, but it's even more unsafe then it used to be, it's slower and it does less damage then it used to.

Fullblock stance is essentially going to be the Aramusha parry alternative and nothing more. He's getting buffs to his infinite chain but he will probably still be a worse Aramusha after these buffs in that regard. He can no longer stamina bully, no idea why this seemed like a good idea.

Edit Sorry, i was entirely wrong, Conq can't feint into fullblat all anymore bc it's 500ms befor he can do anything else anymore so can pretty easily be gb'd for feinting and on top of that a 500ms delay before you can attack again removes any kind of pressure from fullblock feints.

    Captain_Nyet4 Punktevor 8 Tagen
Well, perhaps. His inability to do any proper feints alomgside the nerf to his fullblock feint mean that Conq will never be viable offensively, he can't apply pressure when there's almost no risk to trying to parry his attacks because he cannot punish a parry attempt, he has lights that are interrupted on block, heavies that are incredibly safe to parry and a soft feint into shieldbash that is again slow to the point of being useless unless you predict an enemy dodge attempt which seems unlikely because the enemy has no reason to dodge a risk free parry. Back in the day Conq could shieldbash feint both lights and heavies into either a light, a zone, a heavy a shieldbash or a dodge>shieldbash. Now he can soft feint into shieldbash and he can fullblock feint but only on his heavies. Shieldbash mixup now chains from both lights and heavies though as opposed to only heavies, so that's something.

Essentially what has changed with Conq is he has become easier to use, but he has not become better. (all this is offensively) instead of fullblock feinting into a bash that guarantees a heavy you soft feint into a bash that guarantees a light, aside from that his lights are now 100ms faster but unfeintable and his heavies are still feintable but the faint has become worse. The feinting problem probably even makes his Charged heavy mostly pointless because just like with his blockable heavies attempting to parry them is entirely safe, which is a problem furthe emphasised by the fact that charging a heavy now makes him completely defenseless against any unblockable move on top of the gb vulnerability that already made Conq mains never use charged heavies before (you know, back when a charged heavy did more damage and was faster as well as conq being able to use it as a punish for any heavy attack made on him while charging). Btw I personally think Conq will be a slightly better attacker, but only because of one move: his forward bash. It no longer guarantees a heavy, ok. However now has an incredibly fast shove startup at 100ms into the dodge, but it can be delayed up to 500ms into the dodge and then at 600ms into the dodge he can already guardbreak again. It's a pretty good spammable mixup now as you can bait an early dodge into a delayed shove or gb. His defense also has not been nerfed as much as you may think because the zone attack now has superior block so it's essentially a ridiculously safe move to throw out in reaction to almost anything your enemy does. (essentially it's safe against everything except bait>parry), it used to be a get out of jail free card in many situations that had a chance of dealing damage to the enemy, now it's essentially the same except the damage is guaranteed. As for him becoming less boring i think i disagree, he used to have 4 viable moves (dodge/shove, zone attack, fullblock feint and the free gb) now he has 2 viable moves (dodge/shove, zone attack) and they have both been buffed.

Over all i will probably easily be just as effective as before so long as i only use those 2 crutch moves (superior block wasn't even that great bc it relies on your enemy throwing heavies like an idiot, just sad to miss it in ganks) but the rest of his moveset has not been buffed substantially, but rather been slightly nerfed but made a lot easier to use.

I will have to make a slight apology for my very negative stance on the changes early on, i made a few wrong assumptions about the Conq changes at first. For example i mistakenly thought Conq could no longer dodgecancel his heavy charge, which he can (it's only his fullblock that he can no longer fullblock cancel)

I can actually see how the changes help him to a degree, but there is some very severe problems with the Conq changes imo.

My main concerns are these: 1. fullblock feinting now costs 20 stamina as opposed to 6, granted the stamina regen penalty is gone feinting a heavy will be incredibly stamina intensive, this wouldn't be too big a problem not for 2. His fullblock feint has been slowed down substantially, he used to have a 200ms delay before he could do something again, now it's 500ms (300ms entry and 200ms exit) because they removed Conq's ability to cancel his exit animation into any move, this makes him mostly incapable of using feint mindgames. His only mindgame occurs if the enemy dodges and even that is an unsafe mindgame (if the enemy dodges and Conq bashes Conq gets damage, if the enemy dodgeattacks and Conq bashes Conq takes damage, if conq feints into fullblock it's the other way around).

Conqueror loses Superior block, and i'm fine with that really, but the only thing about him that has been genuinely buffed is his zone attack. And the problem with his zone attack is that it's going to be a cheese move that breaks the game (react to any blockable attack with a zone for 10 free damage, also counters dodgeattacks bc of multiple swings) the only way to really beat the Conq zone counter is to parry it, anything else and Conq is entirely safe.

In other words I don't really think the rework is a nerf, but i rather think it doesn't fix his status as an incredibly annoying turtle that has no incentive whatsoever to go on the offensive (in fact, it's even worse now perhaps bc not even his enemy being low on stamina can encourage offensive play anymore bc he now barely deals stamina damage.

Fighting against Conq was a chore because all he did was turtle and use shoves that are mostly safe, but nothing seems to have changed about that, the optimal way to play Conq is still to exclusively turtle and shove. His neutral superior block is gone so he is at least somewhat vulnerable to feints now i guess. I don't mind Conq barely changing myself, bc i liked playing him before the rework so i'll be fine, i just think that Ubisoft took the wrong decisions because in the end it seems like the entire rework has changed nothing about how should play Conq. Superior block was a nice way to punish people who threw random heavies, but the fact is that pretty much everybody knew not to do that anyway, conq's defensive potential came largely from his superior block on dodges and from his zone (which is why i didn't mind playing him when they removed it by accident).

So when is conq gonna become the "hard hitter" that you describe him as in game? 15 dmg lights 10 dmg zone... EVERYONE else has a zone that does a crap ton of dmg but conq, EVERYONE has the same dmg or HIGHER dmg lights than conq. Heavies are so slow and charging is useless which makes him a SOFT hitter instead of a HARD hitter. UBI fix conq plz.

soft feint and chain slow bash should give free UB heavy. Kinda like highlanders because it's slower than his kick and yet we get a light...
