So, in case you havent noticed the update arrive for the game.... here is todays announcement:

EDIT: Math adjusted for new 8-day extension we've gotten

Oh, and here is some math for the event:

- 32 days in the event (I already missed most of 1st day)
- You will probably average 200 "love points" per pass, more or less
- At 6 hours wait time, you get 4 passes/pday
- its 8 passes/day if you spend 320 gems for speed-dating boosters over the total event
- 40100 points needed for all map pieces (skipping last paint job as a "dont care")
- Historically if you reach the last map piece you always make top 5% to get the last map.

This means that you need:
40100/200/32 = 6.265 passes / day to get everything (down from 8.35 before 8 day adjustment)

(Still) no way in heck you will get all map pieces without spending gems.

Spending the 320 gems for the speed-dating booster gets you 8 passes (every 3 hours)....
... but lets face it, you probably sleep 6 hours so you'll really get 7 passes a day more or less
... You will be wanting .265*200 = 53.2 love daily from the loot wheel to cover the decimal/roundoff.

So if you spend those 320 speed-dating gems and are a reasonably dedicated player, you can make the end with no more gem use

Seems like a good time to just back away from this game. I haven't played the new tracks yet and I'm certainly not spending that many gems to get more new tracks. Ridiculous. They are hugely discouraging players by doing this. I rarely play anymore.

They have sucked the fun out of this game by making us spend large amounts of gems which cost real money. Where do they think we have all this money? Prices keep going up but wages don't. Time to walk away.

(Yes, I know it's my choice to spend the gems but if you want to maintain your position on the leaderboard you're essentially forced to spend gems)

Everyone on TFG is pretty outraged by this.

Hopefully RL fixes this crap, we all have lives but want to get the tracks too. Please, make it possible for us to get these without life and limb.

Yes, this event is another boring grind fest designed to eat gems/money for track that no one really cares about any more. Seriously - there are far too many tracks already that no one really bothers to play them and the LBs are simply a "who has the most tracks" kind of affair.

People say they are going to quit because they don't want to spend the gems - why don't you use up your gems before quitting, since they are no use to you anyway if you don't play the game. That's what I'm doing. Once my gem stash is gone, I'll probably go with it.

I also think that making events like this increases the number of people who want to hack resources, since it is impossible to complete the event without spending a fair amount of gems.

Right now event ends in 30 days and 18 hours, so counting today you have 31 days to reach 40100 or 41500 with paintjob.

40100/31=1294 per day
with speed-dating booster you can easily do this 6 times a day
1294/6=216 per run
so all you need is to spent more or less 300/310 gems and you are OK

if you want/need paintjob, numbers are slightly bigger
41500/31/6=223 per run.

Played the game several times in the last 18 hours, had no idea there was an update! Just updated, my game still says 22 days remaining, guess that hasn't updated yet. Oh boy!! I'm not in the mood for one like this... and just when they made a step forward with the last event in terms of how it played. See how this unfolds I suppose...
