The buffs are nice but yes, essentially the Highlander is pretty much the same as before just with a little extra damage, much better tracking on his caber toss and a potentially useful opener in his celtic curse cancel into OF stance - if nothing else it does force the opponent to react but once people get used to it it will not be very useable. The real gem has been his caber toss buff in my experience. It catches players up to 90% of the time because the time window for dodging it as it comes off of the kick has been drastically decreased. You have to time it absolutely perfectly or have a character with a dodge strike in order to escape the Caber Toss now. Rolling away also works.Originally Posted by The_B0G_ Go to original post
The almost guaranteed nature of Caber Toss now really helps the Highlander get much better play out of his OF stance but in everything else he is pretty much the same old Highlander - very highly dependant on either you being twice as good as your opponent or them missing the parries on you.
