I'm trying really hard to enjoy Resistance - but it seems to be more frustrating than fun for solo play.
If the intention is to lock most solo players out of higher waves it's going to work. I guess it depends on the accessibility intentions.
Status Effects.
Flame carts and shock drones are just too much. They make immunization box the only choice for one skill slot.
Suggestion: reduce the number of NPCs per wave that are able to deploy skills like fire carts and turrets
Control Effects
Rusher spam and stagger, Shot gunners
Suggestion: Increase the time between new NPC spawns
NPC Spawn Relocation
If you get 55 to 60M away from an NPC they respawn closer to you with full health
This removes any chance that a player can get positional advantage. I hate the mechanic, but I understand why it's there.
Suggestion: Increase the distance from player before an NPC respawns. 150M would be better
Suggestion: Give us more time between waves to change load-outs and pick up credits
Suggestion: on the data hack phase give us more range to the hack location
Suggestion: Increase or remove timer on boss waves
I like these suggestions. Sadly, all of my friends have left the game because of the lack of action against cronusmax users.
It would be awesome if we could do resistance solo with these changes.
How about adding some modifiers like the underground modifiers to refresh the gameplay for resistance for solo play?
Have to say I'm kind of against making it particularly soloable - I think it should be an encouraged as a group thing - sorry those that don't like playing with others :s
That said, aside from 1-2 moments like possibly on one of the boss waves if you get all the tougher ones spawn its relatively doable to open the rewards twice solo and then rinse and repeat - there is little to be gained going to higher waves solo.
Also boss waves shouldn't have a 3 minute timer then fail, even if they have to make NPCs stop dropping SHD after 3 minutes - for both solo and group play its not a great mechanic especially if you have an unfortunate boss spawn or a player leaves or disconnects at the wrong moment, etc.
EDIT: I've hardly ever seen the remote control cars at wave 10, especially not at the rate like in the video, that is pretty unfortunate - they don't normally start coming out before wave 15-16 for me and my flame turret tends to keep the shock drones off me fairly well at lower waves.

You can unintentional get away from them when killing other NPCS. I swear one moved out of range from me on purpose so he could respawn with full health.
I think the re locate spawn at 30m, because they move slow.

Would also add on a boss level where you get the LMB skill jammers with baseball guys is dumb - had one other day where the jammers just kept spamming their scramblers or whatever they are that prevented me using any skill for the entire 3 mins. Kind of reminded me of someone who posted a vid on a HVT mission where the turret guys had spammed like 20 turrets or something and the guy couldn't even poke his head up lol.
Every time I have a boss mish with the above guys I immediately hose the boss as it just turns into a clusterf*k.
