Really though, who isn't going to have a PEQ on their rifle?Originally Posted by CarolinaFrog Go to original post

My point exactly.
"That's footage of a joint raid by Kurdish SF and Delta Force, the closest real world equivalent to the Ghosts..."
LOL, oh really? Sure it's at night, but that's where the resemblance to ghost ops ends I'm afraid. Talk about loud and lots of troops. Ghost don't really do textbook raids, they do tactical infiltration, and when done properly are much quieter with less troops. In fact they don't even look or dress like troops, they're operatives. A lot of the clothing options in the game don't really make sense. Many of them are for milsim addicts, and these guys are not typical mil troops, get it?
The fact is today's high quality NV allows for decent vision in darkness when it's needed. There are very few times in this game I shoot out lights, and it's usually to have less risk being seen, not to eliminate excess glare with NV. At least you CAN shoot out lights in this game though, which I really like.
90% of the time when there's too much glare though, there's enough light to turn off NV, and you know what, I don't even worry that there's no flip up/down animation for it. But hey, that's just me I guess, and well over 4 million other players apparently according to sales and people content to play vs complain here.
OK, maybe that last bit I took a bit too far, but that's what happens when people harp about things that are really non issues. It's not like they're trying to polish a turd here. It's like they're trying to polish an already pretty well polished game for the most part. Meaning these are definitely not the things that actually DO need polish, they're nit picks instead.

A raid is a planned attack with a planned withdrawal. That's it. That's a very broad spectrum. Also, are you just making all this stuff up?
Call me crazy, but those dudes definitely "dress like troops".
Yeah, you mean a regular mil raid with specific orders/tactics to follow. Ghosts have just objectives, they adapt and use their own tactics, not textbook ones. And those ghosts you're showing are from way back when. Since then tactics have changed. Modern warfare against very covert terrorist types often involves very different clothing. You mean you've never heard of the guys that grow long beards and wear the common clothing of the country they're in to stay covert when getting critical intel on most wanted terrorists? They also have much more advanced gear now, so they can survey the area and know just what they're walking into. More recent GRs had that too, but they did not do as good a job at covert attire options. All these old ghosts are good for is standard mil raids.Originally Posted by DalenorTheBlack Go to original post
What I'm saying is GR has adapted to the times and gone above and beyond typical mil tactics, yet so many still crave for standard milsim attire, much of which is not practical for ghosts, not today's ghosts anyway.
Okay, so you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Got it.Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
