    FOV setting

    Dear Ubisoft,

I hope you will include in the video menu a good tool to set the fov, because If I can tell you the truth, from what I saw at the moment, I prefer the fov of Far Cry 4....
I think this tool will be very usefull for everybody

Yes they changed the fov in far cry 5.
If you see gameplay or pictures you Will notice that while in far cry 4 or 3 you Can see more or less the entire weapons ( double hand weapons) in far cry 5 they cut a part of It using a different fov.
I would like to have the possibility to set It as in far cry 4...the same fov.

FC has always had a an overly narrow FOV, but you may be right, FC5's may be a bit tighter, which is a step in the WRONG direction. They need to be pulling it back if anything. There doesn't seem to be a ton of difference though, but what difference there is is the opposite of the direction they need to be taking the FOV. In comparing theses screens though, it seems to be less a FOV change, and more just that the player avatar just holds the weapon ever so slightly lower...

What is very strange is that when you are crouched (so there is the sign in the lower and right part of the screen) the fov return the same as in far cry 4…so It is not the avatar but the fov weapons when you are stand up

Aren't you guys confusing the generic FOV for a simple gun displacement?

Nope is the weapons fov ( field of view) that tells you how much portion of hands and weapons you Will see in the screen

Not really, since that's the same thing I suggested was happening in my post. I just also feel like FC's FOV is too narrow and would love for it to be 'pulled back' a bit. FC has always had an overly tight FOV imo...

I think that when crouched the gun is held up closer to the character in a way that would be physically impossible from what I've seen. It's held in such a way that the stock of the rifle would be quite literally through the character's shoulder. It looks even worse when you're crouched I think.

No FOV slider on console, no purchase, simple. The FOV is way to narrow.

Ha, wow, I agree that it's too narrow, but it always has been in FC and I've just sort of gotten used to it. I'd love if they had a slider, but it doesn't bug me enough not to get the game. Honestly I'm finding out more and more things that bug me far more and I'm still getting the game...
