    Could this be a Solution?

Hey Guys and Ubi - I would suggestion something about Gears.
The problem here is - we get more and more Gear designs and even more different Stat set ups, but we don't have more space to keept it.
Me for my part - i have 40 items i would never dismantel.

We already know, that it is unlikely that we get more Space for Gear, since it is limited to server space?
So i would like to suggest and ask in at the same time if this is possbile.

    1.
When we dismantle Items, we could have a small chance to get a Template of the design (even smaller on Rarer Items)
Also, the is Rarity Locked or maybe only for the highest rartiy available.
The Template stays could stay permamently - but therefor the Chances would be very Small.

    2.
Another way would be if we dismantle items we have a chance to get 1 template for the design.
Those templates would stack and be 1 use templets - logically the chance here would be abit higher then with the first idea.

So what you people think about this - and also a question for the Devs, would this be a better possibility or would this consume the same amount of resources as raising the Inventory Space?

If they implement a template system that would work. Something like a costume in most games that you unlock when you find a higher tier type of a gear from blues to greens, gray would not count. . Blizzard had the transmog feature in Warcraft and that worked well.

I like the idea! It’s pretty solid. Keep all templates that you earned and always be able to change the look of gear to that template. I would say don’t even make it a chance thing. You dismantle it, you get it, I mean you EARNED that piece of gear.

The only thing I would add is to make sure if you do this add a preview mode before they apply changes so you can change looks of everything in this preview mode before applying it.

Great idea. It would bring customization closer to some of the shooter games out there, being able to swap looks on the fly. They would still have to cost steel and scraps every time you make changes probably.

I also wouldn't mind the ability to fine tune the stats on any given gear. Same idea, raising 1 stat will lower the other 2 stats. Having to play 50 games to get that 1 drop with the stats you want is kind of tedious, but then again.... every game is like that. Gotta grind it out.
Maybe use scraps as the cost, so they can actually be useful and not pile up. 100 scraps for each point of change? I dunno.

I was under the impression that they are looking to let you toy around with gear, refine it or something, Question is would it be random on the stats? or you get to choose what stats you want to change etc.

Refining Gear is an upcoming addition to gear progression intended for high level players. Refineable Gear starts to drop at Rep 9 and up, it costs a lot, and they don't provide any significant benefits, but it's just another small layer to the existing progression system.

The thing that I don't get it is that we have over 80 colour schemes a lot of which are very similiar to each other like the green colour schemes. Why not delete some of the worst looking of these schemes and any clones/very similiar ones and transfer that server space to our inventory? I'm pretty sure we could get at least 5-7 more inventory spaces just by deleting some colour schemes that are essentially clones of each other.

If I'm understanding your suggestion correctly, this is actually similar to something we are curently working on.There is work on a system for gear right now that will allow you to save the look of certain gear sets without having to keep the weapon itself. It likely won't be coming in Season 5, but work is progressing on it so that we can get it out to players as soon as we are able.

Interesting. I suggested that we needed "An armory" earlier, a place where we can store the look of pieces we like.
