I'm aware but that in itself isn't the issue. You need to read that quote in the context of the entire message about the gun itself being out of place in this game. The point being, what sense does a rail and threaded barrel make on what is essentially an early A1 variant of the 1911. ....think GI sights, GI grip safety, etc.

These modern variants of the 1911 would be more inline with what you might see used by U.S forces:

I wasn't excusing or defending the railed frame, I was simply pointing out that it's relatively easy to take a GI 1911 and swap the barrel out for a modern threaded one thus making the in-game gun's threaded barrel an excusable change.

As I said, I realize that but it still wasn't the point I was making with that quote of mine you took out of context. .....but yeah, ok I guess.
