Everything is in the title, there is absolute no fun in legendary rank if you're a "normal" player and by normal I mean no cheat, not spending your paycheck on it, and you werent there at the begening of the game, let's develop the idea .
I started playing South park 2 maybe 3 months ago I think and here is my experience.
When you are rank 0-40, you discover the game, so like every game, you have fun playing it for a while. You open your packets every 4h, you do your PVP matches every 4h, you get tons of cards and you can easily upgrade them. You win matches, you loose some, and it's in general fair fight. Even if you are 2 level above your opponent, your deck composition or your playstyle(skill) can make the difference at low level. It is fun!
By the rank 40-50, you are attracted by the legendary rank, you want to get there, and if you are level 40, we can assume that you're into the game, you enjoy it and you want to become better, have better cards etc. But here things start to go the wrong way.
First, you fight tons of cheater, which is pretty annoying and it completely destroy the fun you can have, sometimes it's subtil, sometimes it's obvious (I started to play on bluestack so I can record them, but that's pointless, they will just create another account and start again).
Secondary, the bugs... there are so much bugs that it completely destroy the game. You need to be reactive when your opponent play something, sometimes a fast reaction can lead you to the win, but no, bugs prevent you from being a good player. Here are some examples :
- infinite control (with the spell or kenny or timmy)
- no character death (animation of death starts but the character always come back to life, I have a video where it happens like 3-4 times on nelly)
- instant battle cry animation (this is an issue when you are facing clyde and you want to react by invoking rats for exemple)
- character stuck behind your hero
- and so forth and so on ..
Third things the matchmaking starts to go wrong, lvl9-10 against lvl13+ , this should not be possible, the reasons are obvious.
Finally, comes the legendary rank.
To resume legendary rank, take all the negative points from lvl 40-50 and then amplify them. Here is legendary rank.
- The matchmaking is aweful, even when you loose 10 times in a row, you continue to face #150 or whatever when you are only #2250
- Still about the matchmaking, you are lvl 13 and you are always facing lvl16+ , and you know that at this point, having better level than your opponent is a huuuge advantage.
- You come from lvl50 so you have your rare cards lvl 4, your epics lvl 3 and some commons lvl5, well you can be sure that your opponent has a least one more level on each cards (seeing a brother jimmy with as much attack as your assassins .. what are you suppose to do)
- They are all, and I insist on the all, playing the same 20 cards, so all PVP games are almost the same and became boring as hell.
As you win less and less games, you win less cards, less PVP packs, you cannot do your event quests, well what's the point of playing anymore ? Spending an hour to have 3 wins for PVP pack is not right..
I played the game normally, at first I had fun, I joined a team, started giving and receiving cards, opening all my packs every 4h, I even gave some real money to support the developpers because I though the game deserved it (yeah I know, money is for ubisoft and not the developpers, that's an other topic). But in the end the game just became unplayable. My advice is to stay in ranks 40-45, it's where the fun is !
This is my experience of the game, if you have a completely different one, feel free to share it. I really enjoyed playing the game at first, I think it has so much potential , characters are funny, the battle system is really good,you have a lot of cards, it has all the keys to succeed but you need to fix things really quick if you dont want to loose tons of players.

A bit respectfull for people who literally fail to fix anything simple at all and only manage to amplify make existing issues worse.

And I think thats sad... I alSo wanted this game to be succesfull.. I know how you feel.
You cant change the incompetent staff managing it.
Everything can get destroyed if you put the wrong people to it...

Ask competent programmers to run a great game and you get a succesfull fun game... ask ubisoft and you get ...
Well this... hack infested, broken piece of trash thats only a small shimmer to what it could have become.

This game is getting worse and worse with each update. Several of my last games had connection issues where the match was basically unplayable due to how laggy it was. Units would be killed then revive. Game would crash mid match. During my time playing Clash Royale these issues maybe happened once or twice. Here it's a daily occurrence. To be honest if it wasn't Southpark I would have been long gone.

Yes, if they don't change the way matchmaking works, legendary level will soon lose half of their f****** customers. It's absolutely ridiculous that they lump every legendary person together when the difference between rank 2000 plus and rank 400-800 is about equivalent to 20 levels. It takes me about 25 matches to get a win now and I'm definitely done with this game and all the money I've spent into it. Then they just put out an update after this last patch or whatever, that said they were resetting legendary back to level 50 again. But surprise, surprise, nothing has changed. Was it just a line of b******* they felt like advertising and then decided to do nothing about? What a load of crap. I guess they're just going to ignore it like they did with the promised fix that was coming to the donation lists, where they reset the totals but promised we would still be able to see our overall donation totals on our player profile.
Yet nothing of the sort has ever been done. So now I get to know that I wasted all the cards that I would have used on myself by donating them to people who are now kicking my *** with level 5 and 6 cards that I help them create cuz I was just trying to be a nice guy. It's one thing to be ****ty at maintaining your game and listening to your customers complaints, but it's a whole other thing to make false promises and then just sweep them under the rug like nothing was ever said to begin with. What a load of horse****.

I see a lot of angry postings on this board, so I thought I'd come to share my quite different perspective. Been playing for some time (not part of the soft launch, but in since it was released on iOS) and it's been overall a good ride. I also am in legendary now, hitting 1250 in season 1 and just under 700 at the moment in season 2. Without any crazy level cards too, which I feel is an important point.
Look, if you try to go into legendary without any level 5s you're in for a rough time. But the assertion that everyone is running much higher level cards than you if you are common 5, rare 4 epic 3 is just plain false. The top 100 has higher cards in general, but the vast majority there are playing with about this profile or lower in many cases. I'm also looking forward to some matchmaking improvements so the very top of the ladder doesn't end up playing #2000 or silver shields, but again it is hardly an out of control situation as I just played for my packs and ended up with one around 500 (lost) one around 550 (won) a 1900 (won) and a 1000 (won). Lucky? Perhaps, but it doesn't take long for me to lose a match to #3 and try again.
Gotta say as well, I have NEVER ran into someone who was clearly cheating. I've seen videos of cases where it was recorded so I am certainly not saying it is impossible (and maybe it's worse on different servers) but the games I loose I can clearly either see I screwed up, I was outgunned or there was a serious network issue and got hit by a bug.
Keep up the good work guys, despite what this forum looks like there are many of us enjoying things plenty.

Like I said, it is a good game and I enjoyed it for a while, but now I just cant win anymore and its boring as hell..
One more negative point is that once you go for a deck, you cant go back as it take so much resources to upgrade the cards. My rare cards are lvl 4 and are juste useless against lvl 5 common cards, so I said to myself, ok let's put more common cards in my deck and less rare, but it's impossible because I have to get them to lvl 5 , and that take soooo much time. As I am stuck in legendary now and I cant win pvp anymore, how am I suppose to get components and cards to upgrade them ? It's a vicious circle ...
Maybe I play bad, that's a possibility, but if I managed to get to legendary, I should at least have a 50/50 W/L ratio, which is clearly not the case. I lost like 10, maybe 15 games in a row (most of them due to a bug that I mention earlier).
I think I will juste wait that they fix matchmaking and network issue until I play again. (I am always full 4G or playing on my pc connection, so the issue doesnt come from me).

You guarantee to you? Interesting how full of assumptions this forum is. Adventure Fantasy for me, tried mystical in the 30s but got a little bored of the playstyle. Just hit #581 this morning and no level 5 rares or level 6 commons to my name. Not saying the matchmaking isn't rough sometimes and that cheating exists (looking forward to the serverside move as well), but it's a straight up fallacy that everyone who does well is either a cheater or using some kind of "cheap" deck.

Stop denying the existance of cheaters.
