Think something is wrong with the way healing and reviving is scored in these modes, managed to snag my final reclaimer piece a couple of days ago and have always loved playing support/healer in every game I play, but it seems no matter how many revives and heals you do you get absolutely no score at the end for it, in several days of play I managed a second once, 90% of the time I end up bottom.
Something seems a bit off with how its calculated?
Whilst I can't condone spamming, that was another classic example of locking good loot behind PvP that players chose to exploit by passively healing because they did not want to be forced into PvP.
Also it would perhaps have made more sense to simply remove the ability to earn points for healing inanimate objects like seeker mines rather than just remove points for healing altogether. The former is an objective, sensible approach to the issue, the latter is the Massive approach.
You think heals are the only problem with skirmish/last stand scoring? Support builds get the shaft but so do players who fight hard but aren't glory hogs. The game mode is designed so the best way to win is fight as a squad, stick together, focus fire enemies, share your heals, have a support character on the team. That's how you WIN matches... but how do you earn a high score?
First of all player kills, especially on a streak are worth far more than anything else. I always complained that last stand scoring favored the call of duty mindset (get as many kills as possible and forget you have a team all together) far too much. The best way to get a high score is to run around looking for players who are already engaged in a fight and finish them off for a good 500 points (plus any streak, headshot kill, from cover, savior bonus and finisher points you might grab on that kill too). Try to pin the other team in their spawn area and rack up the points. In skirmish it just gets even better because you also get another 500 points if the player you downed dies for "scored point". So your teammate wears him down, forces the other player to use their heals and everything and you come in with a quick burst as an 8000 firearms build and grab the finisher too. They get 100 assist points and you grab a cool 1500 (500kill + 250finisher +500 scored point + 100savior + 150streak). Oh ya and never waste a medkit on a teammate it's only good for 100 points and you might need it to keep your kill streak going.
You run a great support build in skirmish (final measure healer for example) you drop booster shots to heal and buff your team like crazy, you're tossing all kinds of grenades and stopping the other team from doing the same, your even giving your team a tac link level damage buff when you pick up frag grenades and your skill haste is so good you have your signature skill 1 minute into the match. You make your team so OP you win most matches by scores of 20-2, 20-3.. 20-0. But you get only 2-3k score per match. Meanwhile your teammates buffed to godlike damage and toughness are racking up 10-20k score per match with easy 7-10 kill streaks using striker, nomad and predator.
