How to nerf Orochi's double top lights correctly

I saw that your team at Ubisoft is going to nerf the Orochi's double top light from 32 damage to 22 damage , I know your team at Ubisoft is going to do that because the parry changes , that in season 5 no one is going to get a guard break after a parry and for every one to have almost the same punish after parrying a heavy attack , but I think that you should only decrease the damage of the double top lights when someone is been parried , not with normal attacks. If an Aramusha ganks you and starts his infinite chain his damage will be a lot higher than an Orochi trying to defend himself. I know your team at Ubisoft is going to buff the riptide strike from 30 to 40 and the wind gust (light deflect) from 25 to 35 , but deflecting is too risky in high level combat , they just have to faint and do a guard break to get you trying to go for the deflect , for deflecting an attack you must dodge in the direction of the enemy's attack in the exact moment when is going to hit you , but when you are dodging you can't do a counter guardbreak , so the other enemy is going guardbreak and hit you with a heavy attack with almost every character or at least do decent damage to you , the only safe way to deflect is if you are deflecting a light attack from an enemy. So please don't nerf the Orochi double top lights when you are having a normal fight , just nerf it when someone is been parried , for example : if I 'm using the Orochi and i parry my opponent's attack , my double top light is going to do less damage when he is in his recovery time , once he can block again my double top lights are going to do the same damage that they did in year 1 of For Honor. An other example in case of ganking : If my teammate parry the attack of an enemy , that enemy is in his recovery time and I gank him , my double top lights damage is decreased when I attack him while he is in his recovery time. And the last example : When you parry an enemy attack and you switch your target to a new enemy that is not been parried and i do double top lights to that new enemy that is not been parried , the double top lights are going to do the same damage that they did in year 1 of For Honor.

Good Luck Ubisoft , Have a Great Day and I hope you read this message.

I agree with this solution, although I would prefer if you'd simply raise the dmg to around 26, both nerfing Orochi's top lights for the parry changes, but keeping it the hard to land but rewarding light attack that your opponent looks out for. By reducing the attack to 22, it becomes far less a threat for people to simply tank the hit. For example, warden's side attack are more damaging than top attacks but are a 100 ms slower than his top lights. So in this case, you can pressure people with top lights for the shoulder bash mixup and read and punish feints with the side lights. However, both of those functions are what i use orochi's top lights for. Now that his top light attacks are no longer than damaging, orochi's have to rely more on their counter attacks in the upcoming parry changes, forcing them to turtle more in a less turtlely game. His side lights are also simply easy to react to and only lands on someone who wasn't paying attention or was lock in recovery frames. On another note, I think that deflect lights are far too rewarding after the changes. Sure deflect heavies nab you about 40~45 dmg, the hurricane blast mixup usually ends in soft feint gb, leading to top heavy, unless you are both skilled and willing to bet it on a storm rush to catch dashes. Now that deflect light hits harder than top heavies, it's no longer all that worth it to go for a hurricane blast mixup, unless you're saying that execution. While what I say may be easily brushed off as an inexperienced rep 4 orochi player's words, I do have a year worth of dueling experience with him and at least 2k PVP duels on the record so I'd hope you'll consider some of my thoughts on the topic. Thanks for reading and have a good day Ubi.

Plus, I'm looking forward to some orochi rework that keeps him that situational character but gives him one or two more tricks to help him crack other players on top of this top lights and zone XD
