"Waiting for Opponent" and Mind Control bug hotfix rolling out now | Forums

Hey everyone, Steve from RedLynx here. You may have noted that you've been asked to download an update by Google Play or the App Store. This update is a hotfix for a few issues we saw pop up, one of which was due to our recent fix for the quitlocking issue.

If you haven't seen this update yet. don't worry! This update is rolling out now, and may take up to 24 hours to fully propagate through Google Play and the App Store. In the event that you're told to download an update, but can't see it in the App Store, you may need to manually refresh the apps available for updating. You can do this by going to the updates section, and dragging down on the screen until it refreshes.This "issue" is one we see often, but isn't due to Phone Destroyer, so if you could tell any friends who are having this problem, that would be super helpful.

This update contains a hotfix for two bugs. The bugs that have been fixed are:

• A bug where players would get stuck on "waiting for opponent", a black screen, or other areas when queuing for a match
• A bug where players who had mind controlled two units were permitted to keep the second unit for the duration of the match

That's all the info I have for you guys today, but there will be another developer update this week on Wednesday, and you can find us livestreaming on Thursday at 8 PM Pacific/11 PM Eastern if you have any questions!

Today, I have been playing on the regular as I usually do, and I have received more than one "Waiting on the Opponent" screen that lasted many minutes...I just hit one a few minutes back and after what I assume was a time-out period (maybe 5 minutes), it switched to a screeen saying that the opponent had left the game...
