Having this issue on my 7700k only thing i can think of is its not on my c drive so im downloading it there now i cant even play for 20min without ctd i like how their known issues list says this was fixed when its clearly not getting more and more tired of ubi games lately
I'm getting random crashes as well. What I also noticed is that I get a crash/error message (errorcode 30005) when I exit Ghost Wars to the main menu.
I've been able to get rid of my crashes by disabling any overlay I have. I had to disable Uplay overlay, Steam Overlay and the Nvidia overlay. I tried every combination of possible active overlays and they all create the random crashes and the crash when I exit Ghost Wars to main menu. So if you get any kind of random crashes, try disabling all of your overlays.
For the record: I have an i7 4590k, 16GB of RAM and an nvidia 1080ti with the current driver version 391.35.
Got a typo in there. I have a 4790K. I'm also using windows 10.
I posted in another thread with tips to get the game to run at all, and also wrote about things that I have done to avoid the black screen crash.
Well, the black screen crashes are back, completly random, but most likely to occurr when driving a vehicle and being engaged in a fight on the road.
Today I reinstalled Windows 10 from scratch, wiping my harddrive clean. Installing all Windows updates as well as the latest drivers for my graphics card (AMD RX 570).
Reinstalled GRWL and played for a while and boom - black screen crash.
This means that I have NO conflicting software, so it boils down to two possible causes:
- The game itself (99,9% certainty that the game itself is to blame)
- Some hardware/driver issue in my system (if this were the case, you would think there would be issues in other games/programs, but I can play them all with no issues. That includes games such as Battlefield 1 and the latest Far Cry 5)
In short, I'm done troubleshooting this game, since nothing I do on my end will improve things. It's a shame that such a nice game is SO plagued with these bugs.
Only thing I haven't done yet is reinstall the game, I have it through steam so after reinstalling my PC is simply load the steamlibrary and back are all my games. So I will try reinstalling the game see if that fixes anything
It's the same here. I downloaded the game yesterday to give it a change within the free weekend and then deciding to purchase it or not. Well, given I can't play more than a bunch of minutes, I won't buy it of course. I tried everything, the game just closes itself and synches the datas with Uplay after it.

My case with this problem is officially on Ubisoft Support and until today nothing changed for two and half month. Still it not working.
Same here. HAve a case with Support and have given them all necessary files over and over. No real solution. Should really get a refund but the problem is I like the game. Just want it fixed. My problem is it freezes alot and almost every time I hear the sound you get when attaching or removing USB devices. That ping and then CRASH/FREEZE! Any ideas? Tried everything incl reinstalling both Win10 and game. And another user. etc etc.
Hey guys, if you'd like me to look over your case, please PM me your ticket number![]()
Has anyone yet to get a fix for this ridiculous, persistent issue. I load the game and after ten minutes (or so) it quits to desktop. Never used to have this issue but it now happens too frequently I can't even play the game anymore not alone enjoy it.
