Hello, everyone. I wanna ask some advice from you guys. So I got The Division back in June 2016 (which was 3 months after it was released) and tbh I really enjoyed the game a lot. I loved the gameplay, the graphics, the open-world, the looting, the weapons, different variety of customizations, etc. Because of that, I got so addicted to the game that I didn't wanna stop playing. But after a few months of playing it, I decided to quit the game and delete it. It wasn't because of the issues it had in the past. It's just that I didn't have any friends to play/team up with who could cover my back when I'm in the Dark Zone. I literally tried to go there solo because I really wanted better loot but I kept on getting killed by a lot of Rogue Agents, as well as the NPCs in the DZ. But now, I heard that The Division has already been improved this year and a lot of players are getting back to the game so I decided to give this game a second chance. Right now, I'm sorta thinking of getting the Season Pass because I've heard many people say that since all of the expansions have already been released, the game feels complete and fun to play. But before I get the Season Pass, I just wanna be sure if getting it is worth spending. What do you guys think? Should I get the Season Pass or not and why? Thank you very much in advance.![]()
This is a tough question to answer and you are going to get different replies/advice. Many of us have already left the game for the same reasons you have mentioned. The DZ hasn't really changed. If you didn't like it then, I don't think you will like it now. The game has also introduced Classified sets which are extremely powerful and without them you will be very underpowered in PvP although in PvE they are not strictly necessary.
If you enjoy PvE activities, of course the season pass and DLCs offer you plenty of new content but none of it really has any depth and for most of us it didn't retain our attention for very long.
Others will tell you the game is going strong. You would really need to try and join up with people like this and see if they are willing to help you gear up and carry you until you get your gear. Obviously only those content with the way the game is at present are those that are hanging around and continue to play. Many of us just find the game too unbalanced and the development team too unwilling to make changes for their to be any hope for improvement.
The Division is unique and trying to find something that has the same appeal is very hard. Unfortunately too much is wrong with it and not enough being fixed that coming back to it even after a break usually results in the same disappointment. Just like any sour relationship, you reach the point where you feel enough is enough and don't want to try anymore, especially when the other party shows no willingness to change. That is where I am at.
You will have to make your own choice as to whether you feel it is worth giving it another shot.
If it was only a few quid then why not but of they want more than that I wouldn't bother the underground gets boring really quick and matchmaking takes forever, last stand is the worst example of pvp I have ever played. The only expansion worth buying is survival, hands down the best mode in the game but unfortunately lacklustre rewards means that you never have any incentive to start a game 😝 now if they offered unclassified caches at the end of each run that would be a different story 👍👍👍
I was looking at the season pass for the xbox.Looks like survival and the underground would be the real reason to get this. The price is discounted so im thinking about it.Really dont care about cosmetics at all.Having said that how does the season pass work?12 months of upgrades- new battles if any?Anything new ubi has announced for the SP?Got burned on another game so i always wait and see. Thanks
Season pass is over as far as new content is concerned, Last Stand was the end of it, and that's been out for over a year now, IIRC...so, what you see is what you get.Originally Posted by JaGReDDoG69 Go to original post
The only additional stuff you'll get are the bi-monthly supply drops, which are pretty pointless (and have been, pretty much from the beginning)...it's like a DZ supply drop but in the LZ, and contains 3 random pieces of gear. Once in a while, you might get lucky and get something useful, but most of the time it's crummy gold stuff or poorly rolled gear set items. You used to also get weapon skins and some free crafting materials which you could claim at the Rewards Vendor (whoopee! lol), not sure if they're still doing that though.
My personal opinion is yes. The DZ is still full of idiots, but now they're all using Chronos Max and scripts instead of skill...lol
Underground and Survival are great fun to play and can keep you entertained for weeks (months in my case...lol).
Since update 1.8 there has been a good job done to try and get the PvE player back. West Side Piers, if you like enemies growing out of the ground (spawn rate is ridiculous), is tense most times. Survival is one of the best additions to a game I've seen in a long time. I've had the game since day one and still get lost in that blizzard...lol
It's all about what you want from the game. I play PvE and continue to do so at least a couple of hours a day.
Underground and Survival are must-have content for PvE solo players. They are a ton of fun and much better than Resistance / WSP.
However, I think it's important to say that the future of the current version Division is unknown. The new PvE content designed by a new Dev Team (resistance / WSP) is not as well executed as the original game and season pass content. It's important to understand that the game is 2 years old, which is why it seems 'better'.
Thank you all so much for all the advice and for sharing your personal opinions about the Season Pass. Tbh, after reading each and every single one of your threads, it's still very difficult for me to decide right now. Lol Maybe this week, I'll play the game again, check at all of its improvements, and see if I should get it or not. But I do appreciate you all for being here to help me out .![]()
