How can you be so smug when you just in another thread agreed the game needs the ability to magically advance time? Isn't that just as arcade as MGSV's phantom cigar?Originally Posted by KingSpawn1979 Go to original post
Please Ubi, no magical wizardry in your Ghost Recon titles. Fast traveling is as far as I care to see it go, and that DOES to some degree advance time, but in a reasonable way.
I can't believe how many players bash the game for being too arcade and silly, then you see them ask for things like time travel and cloaking. LOL
Oh, but never mind me, I surely must be trolling, because I'm actually talking sense in a room full of hypocrites.
That would make sense since certain gates will allow certain faction vehicles to enter. It would be an extension of that via uniforms. Personally I didn't like the look of any of the faction unis, and preferred the challenge of sneaking where I needed to go with stealth. That said, I know certain US soldiers in the middle east have resorted to disguising themselves as Arabic to gain intel.Originally Posted by Pushrod187 Go to original post
I didn't expect it but then again, that is part of the reason this version of the GR franchise piqued my interest as soon as it was announced.Originally Posted by ccBOTES Go to original post
The GRW setting takes place just a couple years from the present. Ubi wanted to get back to the "roots" of GR and away from the future tech in the last iterations of the series in this game. They used words like realistic and authentic to describe elements of the game (and gameplay) during development.
I guess this is one of the reasons why I was disappointed with Narco Road and even Fallen Ghost up to a point. There is a facet of this community that felt GRW had a lot of elements that could have made it an even better game than it was. .....tapping into a market that hasn't seen a good, realistic, military tactical shooter for console in years. They tickled some of the hardcore fans but it just didn't quite go the distance for some.
It was still a lot of in its own right for a lot of us though. Besides all that, GRW will still go down as one of my personal favorites of all time. Heck, it actually got me back into co-op play and even PvP to an extent. I just hope that if GRW2 ever comes to fruition that they don't deviate from this original vision and even expand on those key elements they tried to focus on in GRW.
Ditto... but personally I would have wanted them on the blob Squad AI and not on me.Originally Posted by DanHibikiFanXM Go to original post
At least this way, and also, the teammates wouldn't break part of the immersion when they couldn't have similar attire as to what the main character had since they would be invisible.![]()
