Ive supported a lot of ubisoft products in the past and Ive been buying your games since the rainbow 6 three days. I loved the assassins creed, rainbow six, prince of persia and far cry series (among many others). I even got into the trials (frontier and fusion) craze for a bit but the way you handle your multiplayer matchmaking time and time again is just unbearable. For Honor was the straw that broke the camels back and will officially be the last ubisoft product I ever purchase.
Your team constantly comes out with amazingly unique and original ideas followed by half measures and cut corners. Every single game series mentioned, instead of further expanding on its prequel, only adds 1 or 2 new features (which they could just put as dlc or patches) and a couple texture buffs; all the while being able to recycle a lot of texture models and codes from the previous games and pump out sub par quality games non stop. For example, in assassins creed 2 to AC3 the only real difference was that you could now climb trees in a new town. You have to milk it for all its worth right?
Secondly, who creates a multiplayer game - like For Honor - entirely predicated on the user being as close to 0 latency as possible and having great reaction time then go and make it p2p? Either youre cheaping out at the gamers expense or you have no faith in your product. Not to mention last second rage quitters crashing the game non stop 10 minutes in to a match. If your follow through was a pipeline oil drilling operation you would be Deepwater Horizon right about now.
Ive been promoting For Honor to my friends since i got my closed beta key because the game had such great potential and was a blast to play until, patch after patch, you didnt fix the key core problems of the game and instead decided to release a bunch of stupid ornaments and emotes to try and leech as much money as you could out of us before the rest of the ship sinks. Its an 80$ game per person. Why in gods name do you need more money than that to make profit? Insanely priced microtransactions have no place here and never have. Its not the google play or apple store.
What use to be a proud canadian gaming staple has been cheapened by years of bad executive decisions and cut corners. Guess its back to one shot major title gaming studios or indie flicks...
