Surely the ping of the various games on the server list should be exposed, otherwise players have to join to find out.

Agreed. Also in the lobby the pings should be listed as numbers rather than bars. This is a PC game after all.

Would be nice if one get ones won ping displayed too.
I have a good Internet connection and still get about 33% of my games auto-disconnected. But hence I play 1on1 Ranked, I can not be sure if I just have bad luck with my opponents, or it really is my ping-meter nagging me ...

Your ping is always relative to whom your pinging, so its not necessarily a problem at your end, or their end. The best way to determine whether you are the problem is to test your connection using something like www.speedtest.net.
