    The Classified Exchange

There has been a lot of discussion lately about the drop rates of Classified Gear. The math has been done and most agree that the current likelihood of getting the piece you want in the set you want are pretty low at the moment which can lead to extreme frustration with the game overall.

I have stated the obvious in a few posts in the past, but will reiterate that as a start they need to have Classified Gear as possible drops from Legendary and Incursion Bosses. I don't even care if it is the same 3% chance as the other world bosses as long as there is a chance. They also need to have a chance to drop from the Named in the Weekly and Daily HVT's. I have personally done these solo and with a group since last July and neither myself or anyone I group with has EVER seen a Classified Drop from a Named in the Weekly or Daily HVT's. I would also like to see a Classified Cache (1 random piece) added to the Weekly Assignments to give a real reason to continuing doing them or even doing them at all as the only current reward is more than likely a piece of guaranteed D-Tech from the loot pool of Exotics.

    Now on to the Exchange.

What I propose to alleviate this is an Exchange Booth (similar to the vanity item guy in the Terminal).

At this booth you could put up your Classified Piece of gear along with X amount of currency, X amount of D-Tech, and X amount of Phoenix Credits. You would then get the choice (roll) of 3 Classified Pieces of the same type you put up (Chest, Mask, Knee Pads, Backpack, Gloves, Holster).

Example: I put up a Classified Banshee Shadow Mask, X amount of currency, X amount of D-Tech, and X amount of Phoenix Credits and the Exchange menu shows me the choices of A. Keeping current piece, B. Classified Tactician Mask, C. Classified Alpha Bridge Mask, D. Classified Nomad's Mask. (B, C and D were randomly chosen)

The stat's of the pieces would be totally RNG just as if you picked them up in game so there is no guarantee that the Nomad Mask you were looking for and got in this roll is a "good one", but at least you would have one and could keep rolling to possibly get a better one.

This would allow for the drop rates to stay fairly low (not raining gear) but still giving a different avenue of completing a set while continuing a reason to work for currency, d-tech and phoenix credits all the while still playing and hoping to get Classified Gear. It would also now be worth keeping Classified Gear you get that you might otherwise just break down for guaranteed D-Tech (if you already have, don't need or don't want) for the opportunity to "roll" at chances to get what your looking for.

Being RNG would also allow but not guarantee for the same piece you were offering to appear as a choice with different stats as one of your possible choices.

    Just a thought.

Pretty good idea, I would be in favor of it just not sure how hard it would be to implement. This would give you a reason to grind and keep playing. They would also need to add some div tech to areas that don't offer them now such as HVT's/Underground/Survival so you could accumlate them by playing those modes.

Another option might be converting Classified gear into Classified Credits (by breakdown or selling) for a roll on a specific type (mask, vest, etc) or specific class (Pred, D3, etc) of gear, or on a generic Classified Cache.

Yeah whatever they do it needs DT to be added into the mix especially any named bosses outside the DZ

Why not just let us respin the type of gearset on the recalibration table?
It would waste one of your spins, but enable you to finally get the piece you're after.

Personally, I wouldn't want it to cost div-tech as I'm a solo PvE player and div-tech is almost impossible to get in PvE

    It's a double edge sword.

I think the main problem with the game is not the drop rates.....it's the content.

I have all the gear sets and haven't touched this game since the Global Event. The "endgame" is getting the gear. Once you have it there's nothing to do and no motivation to keep going.

Honestly I wish there was one piece I'm missing on a gear set I liked so I actually have a reason to play this game.

Exactly how I feel. 14 sets 2-4x over.

I log in to test sets and push their limits in group content, since solo play is largely predictable at this point.

I still would happily login to play it because it's fun, sometimes I am excited for Underground, hvt's and really an open world roaming area hehe. I enjoy just playing as well. One of my buddies ONLY logs in to play survival mode he doesn't even care for the rest of the game but thinks survival is one of the best games out to date. I can't argue it is fun i'm just not very good at it.

I would also support a hardcore mode for those that still want a challenge after they have everything.

I don't know. To each his own I guess.

I have every Classified Set in the game also, have been there for all the GE events.

I still enjoy playing every day and can always find "something" to do on one of my characters, I just enjoy this game.

If you aren't enjoying it anymore because you have everything and can't find a reason to play then it probably is time for you to move on to something else and hope that someday they introduce something that might intrigue you enough to come back and play again.

I proposed this because I also play with people that were not here for all the GE events or didn't get all their pieces during the events and I understand how frustrating it is to them as some of them walk away from a really good game over it.

It does not help the game at all if the new players or even some veterans for that matter get so frustrated and feel as they can not contribute or compete and walk away.
