Monthly Forum Discussion - February 2018 [Your Community Champion!]

    Howdy Riders,

We all have heroes. In the Frontier, some wear helmets, some wear caps, and some wear only bones!
In the Sub-1000 ranks on the hallowed Leaderboards of all our Tracks, lie names of Champions that were once just like you and I (unless you’re one of them!)!

Watching these famed Riders would leave you nothing but greatly inspired.
Seeing their Ghosts may improve your ride, improve your records, give you great riding goals, or make you stop and only watch!

This month, we want to know – Who’s Your Community Champion?’
We want to know who inspired you to keep riding better and break more records in the Frontier!

Let your Champion know how important they are/were for you.

The discussion may include any of the following –

    - Your personal Community Champion(s) and why?
    - Your story find that Champion in the Frontier
    - A ‘Thank You’ note
    - Any suggestions/ideas to enhance your stay in the frontier

We'd like to keep this topic open-ended so please feel free to share your opinions!

    Let's stick to 2 simple rules –
    - Stay in topic
    - Make this discussion fun, healthy & constructive

If you have suggestions for a topic for the upcoming month, do let us know as a response to this thread and we'll try to pick one and roll with it!

    Cheers!

Obviously everyone over in the TFG for keeping this community alive. Pats on the back for everyone.

Special shout out to negodyaeff! If only his suggestions were implemented!

aside from the TFG gang, for all the fun, fair play and motivation etc i have to make a couple individual nominations:

    community wise:

xitooner: the brain behind much of what we actually know about how the game works, he's just so meticulous!

Bonxy & dutscher-DE: for the great sites they've put up which help people in so many ways!

negodyaeff: please, give the man a job! 'nuff said!

    on a more personal level:

justinman114: very talented rider, that happens to play the same way i do! (except he's 500% better), no OP bikes, just the glorious original 9 (not considering crazy bikes). amazing how he keeps on the top places despite always having slower bikes. i really admire him for that

Py2004, flooodi-TFG, fuzzeelogik-TFG, Chemical-TBR & ciscodalicious (maybe some more, but these look like the main ones): my "silent" partners, aka the people whose ghosts i usually race, they are not too impossible but still always challenge me into making better times and usually improving my riding lines too (and i do sometimes beat them! feels good!)

    My community champion: Negodyaeff

Has helped me out on a couple of occasions not to mention the brilliant work in bringing us ghosts! Seriously should be getting a salary form RL

Also special shout out to Bonxy, Dutscher-DE, xitooner, and Flooodi-TFG.

Many other names to mention (too many) so I will just say to all whom contribute thanks for making this game awesome.

This topic sounds like we maybe be getting a few others added into the "Community Champions" section of the game credits soon...

Thanks for the mention guys.... I really appreciate it! And I agree with all of the earlier picks as well!

I want to mention a few long-time IOS riders that I love to use as ghosts.....
    LinkinJon-TFG and FR-Sofiane.
Whether its on Donkey or the main LB, I have come to discover that these two are often ranked nearby (but slightly above me) to where I usually end up ranked on a track. So I have the most fun racing against them... its like I am racing old friends! (there was a time that LinkinJon would post on these forums and we really got along well there too). I know there are other uber-riders that always do insane things that are in the top ten always... but (given my skill/goals) I just dont identify with them as much.

Also... a big shout-out to lesorsier for his amazing Donkey runs!

Hope to see all you guys in the game credits; its much deserved!

It's hard for me to name everyone and I know I'm going to forget people and/or misspell some names, but I'll throw some names out there. There is no singular community champion, more the community itself is full of people who make it what it is: a community. I've been here almost since day 1 (playing the game since day 1, on the forums maybe 3 months after starting playing), and although it used to be more talkative in here, it's still the same community. I love how we all have the same interests and like to help each other (and complain about things together ).

Anyways I'll name some people, if I don't name you it's nothing personal, I know most of you here now and naming everyone would be impossible!

xitooner - Basically I think of x as the godfather of these forums. He might as well be a moderator with all the useful info, ideas, research, etc. he is always posting. He's also one of the few that is still around from when I arrived.

Flippant9 - Another OG rider who I even got to meet recently at AGDQ, and a rider I often go to for a ghost to race as his skillset is similar to mine.

Guys like dutscher, flooodi, carterclem, who have also been around a long time and have contributed to the "help" sections of the forums a lot, or have made videos. I know I am forgetting more people here.

Bonxy - Obvious reasons are obvious, but Bonxy has that site....you know....the good one that has all the leaderboards and info

negodyaeff - Alex is unbelievably helpful to the community, and I'm really not sure where RedLynx would be without him, even though he doesn't even work there!

So many more just on a personal level, whether I race your ghosts or watch your videos and see your posts on TFG - CagBall, NOBBYHOBSON, sanymas, Chemical-D, FatalDragon, big_ligands, PL-k4kshi (TFG man himself), yoshiki-aoki, and probably a million more.

tl;dr - My community champion is the whole community (minus hackers of course )

negodyaeff - the most amazing guy ever, his mods are really helpful. He finds many bugs and possible fixes for them. Just hire HIM, RedLynx!

KarTanK - the best Trials Frontier player. No one came close to his skill level (and probably never will). I really liked when he was pushing this game limits and never gave up, there is literally no records that he couldn't beat, he's GOD!

Of course there's more community champions but I'm not going to write an essay :P

Greetings everyone. Im kind of new inside this commuity so i cant really say that i have a comm champion
Other than that i have to say a really big thank you to all that made this forum working up and running, to all the help they freely give and lots of respect to the time and effort they put into this awesome game in order to make it better more,
As i said i m new, so i dont really know anyone here, dont know who TFG is or what it stand for, or the other groups, and since the game goes back 4 years already, its good to make a thread about the history the evolution and of course the people that became the first legends of the game.
I will mention one name only, he was one of my first in-game friends, i really like his riding and i try to catch up to him and thats clarx1.
pardon my english and grammar mistakes!
    cheers
