Im about to drop down 2 levels again tonight trying to get a pack , lol! Its totally fair to match me (level 13 pvp rank 49 with no level 5 cards) against top 300 legendary players over and over! I'm convinced this game is such **** that no one new is playing and barely any "no pay to play" people because they are quitting lol...cuz I can't find any matchup with a player under level 15....so just to reiterate , your game sucks and Ubisoft sucks as a whole....i actually like a lot of ubisoft stuff , just not this ****...goodnight!
I got that feeling aswell...
Most of the legit players who don't spend probably quit.
This would explain why there are so many hackers.
Most of those probably reached legendary in time...
I also wonder if new players actually still trying out this game.
Imagine being a new player getting matched with spenders and on top of that hackers with ontop of that broken matchmaking with ontop of that lucky players who got mecha timmy...
Totally wrecking them.
Do not worry!!!
They are spending their time wise - deleting posts that are unpleasant!
Have about 4 posts removed for complaints of nothing done !
If they do put up some answers it is to irrelevant things!
I have stopped playing!!! Why would I ?
I am now visiting the forum to see how low will they go next !
Hey Misfitsmisfit,
Thanks for this feedback. Our big feature update (BFU) that is coming will contain some improvements to things like matchmaking. We understand that it can be frustrating to get a 'mismatch' in terms of player and card levels and we hope that some of the things coming will improve this. We are also seeing that some players have been intentionally de-ranking or 'sandbagging' in order to get easy wins (for quick PvP packs) and will be introducing some other things should encourage players to progress into their proper rank, or move into legendary.
I know that this doesn't give you any specifics about these things that are coming, but we will be getting more information about this stuff in the next few weeks. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us here, on Twitter or Facebook and we'll answer those questions as soon as we can.

Thats normal if you ask me. Lots of people got stuck in legendary until the reset and are probably not interested in going back to playing against people that are level 20 anytime soon, since there is simply nothing at all they can do against people who have tons of level 6 cards. You probably need to fill out with more PvP ranks instead of forcing people into legendary.Originally Posted by ItsJustBuck Go to original post
Also, most PvP gameplay on legendary is different since its all about winning so its 95% same decks with same cheap-shot-but-effective-card-combos-ftw, where-as ranks below legendary is a more mixed bunch where people can play around, test new decks, try out cards that are not maxed out. Good luck trying that in legendary.
I say increase PvP ranks to 100 before legendary when you do the next reset. That way the most obsessed players can enjoy highly competitive play in legendary while others have space to rank up and down along the normal PvP without getting stuck.
Although, if I think about it... If people really do run a combo of sandbagging and easy wins - as you claim - doesnt that pretty much even out in the end? For every easy win they have, they also give a game up? Maybe not a role model of good sportsmanship, but then again, with all the issues people are facing in PvP (hackers, lagging, disconnects, unexpected behaviour of some units/spells, lack of balancing, p2w setup, lack of upgrade items resulting in big issues if you upgraded wrong cards), what do you expect?
So yeah... If people are not playing the game the way you want them to (or expect them to), then its probably time to look into changing how your game works, rather than using a stick to force people to conform, unless you intend to alienate more of your players than you already have. Fixing some of the PvP issues and adding more ranks would probably be a step in the right direction.
Other than that, I think that players often mistake "people with better cards" for "people who are hacking". Yes there are hackers, but not that many. But the truth of the matter is that in this game, card levels play a very big part. Strategy is important when you play against people who are roughly the same level as you, but as soon as they are several levels higher you either need to play dirty (zen cartman, regen, master ninjew, mecka timmy, etc) or give up because there is just no realistic way to win using a regular deck with cards you actually enjoy playing (instead of what is most effective). Throw in some lag, zombie characters who keep coming back even though you kill them, characters on your side who get stuck, etc, and most people will draw the conclusion the other player was cheating. But given the design of it, this is already built into the game, so when you face someone who is a higher level who put 100% of his upgrade materials into some key cards, you are going to lose no matter what you do. All the bugs just make the defeat more annoying.
And since the match making is primarily based on the PvP rank, sooner or later people will start meeting players that are higher levels than them as they progress, get frustated with the impossibility of winning matches, and end up complaining in the forum that the match making sucks.
The only remaining options at that stage are a) to level up themselves, which is slow, especially if you cant win anything in PvP so you cant get any PvP packs. b) to sandbag to drop down to a more reasonable level, which is impossible if they have passed one of your PvP rank floors or gotten into legendary. Or c) to get tired of it and quit the game.
Thank you for the response @itsjustbuck but I'm sorry , it amounts to absolutely nothing...why is Ubisoft working on giving incentives to players who are cheap to make them want to level up , instead of just fixing the broken matchmaking algorithm itself? Thats the only way to fix the problem that many people have with this game , because its just plain broken...ive never played such a broken game and I've played a lot of games. Ubisoft should change the matchmaking algorithm to brackets that ensure you are playing against someone with approximately the same level cards , it's the only way to fix it...i doubt anything will be done to fix this horrible game (a horrible game with such promise , which is what really sucks) so eventually I and a lot of others will quit , when you only have level 4 commons and level 3 rares , there are only so many times you can play against level 5 and 6 cards before you give up....so don't give me another generic response that doesn't solve anything please , id rather be ignored.
Yeah, this game gets harder and harder to enjoy every time I log in to play it. I was up to pvp 45 before the season ended, but now the 40s are flooded with people who don't want to go back to legendary, so instead they float around crushing normal players. My last match the guy had four legendary cards, two of them at level 2, and everything else he played was level 5. It was just ridiculous. I'm running stuff that's between 2 and 4, trying to play along with the Valentine's event, and all it's doing it killing my rank. It would take me hours just to get to three wins at this point, forget about actually making any progress on the event.
I've been gaming since the days of Pong and Space Invaders, and I honestly cannot remember ever seeing a game this poorly managed before. It's too bad, because this really was a lot of fun before they started piling one terrible idea on top of another. They gave out tons of stuff to the people who were legendary last season, and now those people know better than to ever go back to legendary because the matchmaking is equally terrible at all levels, so now there's this elite class of super players who can only compete with each other, but have no intention of ever doing that when it's always going to be easier and more fun for them to dominate the normal players. So they'll keep getting farther and farther ahead, and everyone else will get farther and farther behind. So poorly conceived and executed. Seriously. You guys at Redlynx should be ashamed of yourselves. If you couldn't see all of this coming, you are categorically unqualified to be designing multiplayer games.
