I never noticed it till now and it's probably been brought up before, but weapons are heavily nerfed when increasing difficulty. Going from Regular to Extreme literally halves weapon stats. Is the fact enemies dont appear on your map and can snipe you with an uzi not enough of a challenge? They have to nerf gun stats which is a ridiculously unrealistic thing to happen.
Can it be changed so that weapons retain the same performance across difficulties instead of nerfing them to ****?
Here's four comparisons. The stats shown are when playing extreme compared to regular (red stats), the only bonus is a minor increase in damage when on extreme (green stat)

Just jumped back on to double check and it was tier mode being turned on/off tanks.
So essentially weapon damage is being increased so dramatically on weapons that it max level causes the other stats to seemingly be nerfed when in fact they stay as is? Damage is just being doubled?
That seems... overly complicated. This is why bars for stats are confusing and solid numerical numbers are better
I don't think stats nerfing is the case here.
Tier One mode rather increases the maximum potential and so your stats bar is shown shorter because the max number is higher than it used to be. In short, the initial effectiveness remains the same - and if you feel it weaker, it's because of the enemies are getting stats buff.
Let's say one bar represents 100 and you have a damage stat that is 50. This means you will fill 50% the bar, correct? Now what if the maximum capacity of the bar is increased to 150 while you still only have 50 damage stat? You will only fill 25% of the bar now, right?
Thanks for the accurate calculation.Originally Posted by MadMojoT1 Go to original post
Thanks for clarifying that this was the case.Originally Posted by DeadArashi Go to original post
Once you enter Tier One mode, the damage remains the same until you apply Tier One damage upgrades, which is why it appears your weapons have less damage. It's really just that they have to make the damage bar graph bigger to leave room for Tier One upgrades.Originally Posted by DeadArashi Go to original post
It really can't be said any more simply.
