I bought the season pass for Assassin's Creed Origins from Amazon recently and have been unable to get it to install. I got the key from Amazon, went into the product key window in Uplay and entered it. It said it was valid and I can see on the store page inside the game that I own it and the DLC. It says "OWNED" and gives me a prompt to download it. When I do it takes me to a Steam store page for the DLC. Steam does not recognize that I own this DLC and won't let me download and install. The Uplay store app also doesn't seem to show me owning it, just the store within the game. It's pretty crazy and I'm very confused. Please help.![]()
Hey Dr.Heartless,
In steam could you please try verifying your game files using these steps?
1.Restart your computer and launch Steam.
2.From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
3.Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files.
4.Steam will verify the game's files
Should this not resolve you not being able to access the DLC for Origins. Please try uninstalling and reinstalling your Steam client / Uplay Client. Contact our customer support team here and include the following information.
1. Did you purchase Origins on Steam or Uplay?
2. The Season Pass from Amazon, was this for Steam or Uplay?
3. What steps you have already tried
Hi @UbiScared, I happened to stumble upon this post while googling for the same problem as OP.
I own Assassin's Creed: Origins on Steam, and bought the Hidden Ones DLC from Humble Bundle, which gave me the key for UPlay. The in-game store recognizes that I own the DLC, but when clicking on it to install, it redirects me to the Steam page prompting me to buy the DLC. I have since read a few posts saying that I have basically wasted $10, but I would like to believe that this issue is solvable on Ubisoft's end.
Hi Schwarz! Here is a post regarding buying DLC on Uplay when you own the game on Steam. For future reference, we strongly recommend that players buy games and extra content for the game (such as Season Pass or DLCs) from the same digital store to ensure compatibility. I recommend contacting Humble Bundle for a refund since you purchased the DLC through them. Hope this helps!
Hi, I have the same problem - Steam shows two positions on both Hidden Ones and Pharaohs - one with title and one with 'uplay activation'.
Only Uplay activation is installed. When running the game after buying, the uplay client acknowledged DLCs and they are shown as OWNED.
But when trying to install, steam window pops up as written in the thread above. No option to install DLC, only "install steam" and "play now" (even though i have steam installed).
Got it.
For everybody that stumble upon the same problem - Uplay is not the problem here. Go to Steam Library - rightclick the game, choose DLC tab and check if DLC is ticked. Then go to Download history and check if the DLC download is not PAUSED! this was my problem (probably no auto-update checked or temporary network problem). Wait for the installation is finished (it doesn't indicate DLC, it just says Assassin Creed Origins is installing) and voila! Start the game again.
In reply to the reply below:
Are you kidding me?
