It's very tempting to just give up long before you get there, and out of boredom, not difficulty.

As far as squad AI goes, yeah it would be nice if they didn't refuse to follow Go To commands sometimes, or keep saying lost target, but when I think about it, the times they do are usually when I'm being too lazy myself. It's easily fixed by leading them to a better spot. The AI are hardly totally worthless as many imply though. Try shooting those convoy drivers by yourself and see how well it goes, or nailing some of the super long sniper shots they pull off.

No, most of those saying the AI are totally trash expect them to do everything for you. Quite to the contrary. AI need to be treated as squad mates that are nowhere near as capable as human squads, aside from those skills I mentioned above.
I'm Tier 14 and have yet to get the AI to hit a driver.

They have made some impossible synch shots but that doesn't add to their usefulness. It detracts from the believability.

I've done plenty of fast resource farming for Tier One upgrades, and it's quite easy really. My go to method is flying a chopper to a high ground spot ahead of where a convoy is traveling. I then launch the drone and tag the driver of the cargo vehicle. This is the only slightly difficult part, as for some reason these particular NPCs won't tag until the drone camera identifies the target first. It just takes a little time and a steady hand, but once that's done you just tag him and give the order. As long as they're in reasonable range, which is pretty far for your squad AI, they'll nail them every time.

If you really want to mop up the remaining enemies quickly, you target the escort vehicle farthest away from the cargo vehicle with a rebel mortar attack, then sync shot the rest. From the right distance they won't even know where you are.

The only thing unbelievable here is how many people don't seem to have a clue how to use the AI. They may be dumber than humans, but there's definitely a big curve to grade on where humans are concerned.

I generally just EMP the cargo truck then Desert Tech HTI the rear then the front vehicle, then use my AR to pick off the driver and gunner.

If I let the AI interfere they generally blow up the cargo vehicle.

Funny that you say that, because when I was first playing the game, I assumed the go to way to take cargo vehicles would be with the EMP drone. I waited some time just to get it and upgrade it, only to find out in using it that the devs nerfed it with an update that made it only stop vehicles very briefly, leaving you no time to take the target vehicle unscathed.

This was verified by much chat I read, with people saying it used to stop them dead in their tracks for good, then only momentarily after an update. For all I know, maybe the reverse was true of vehicle AI tagging. Meaning they may have simultaneously fixed vehicle AI tagging, then nerfed the EMP's effect on vehicles. I got into the game kinda late, so I don't know how it played on early patch versions.

So when you say you've used this method, it would have to be with an older patch version I think. At any rate, I don't mind, because EMPs are still very useful for gates, and I get more feeling of reward by tagging the driver and having him taken out. If you want to verify whether that is possible or not (as you sounded skeptical) there are videos on it, or I could even make one if you like. The coolest way to use it IMO is with enemy choppers, though it can be harder to tag the pilot, vs a truck driver.

At any rate, it makes no sense to me your squad AI would blow up the convoy cargo vehicle, because they will only do that accidentally if you get in a messy firefight near one. It is MUCH more likely an enemy AI will accidentally shoot or destroy the truck with a haphazard grenade toss. You cannot tag cargo vehicles for squad destruction, only enemy AI inside them, and once you do, they will always kill them if syncing within reasonable range and line of sight. In fact I used to intentionally destroy cargo vehicles just to farm Tier One points faster (which are not decreased by damage), and my squad would always give me hell for destroying the truck and getting less resources.

Nope I also only got into the game in the last couple of months. Bought it on a sale.

Sometimes the EMP wears off if I don't blow up each vehicle cleanly or have a bad angle on the truck and can't shoot the driver but sometimes if you get engaged by either the escort or the guy riding shotgun your idiot AI will try shoot through the bullet proof windscreen and end up blowing up the truck.

I am not sceptical exactly, I have just never managed to tag the drivers for synch shots. It is easier and less hassle to simply do it myself.

More activities to do in-game would go a long way, like:

    -stealing vehicles for the rebels
-protecting rebel convoys from SBC or Unidad
    -liberating towns from SBC
    -assassinating HVTs
    -hostage rescues

Also some civilian activities would have been nice, maybe play a card game with your squadmates at a safe house, hunting deer for a trader, herding llamas/cows with a chopper for farmers, add horses and horseback riding, and car/motorcycle races to humiliate SBC,

How about a working disguise system, that would allow you to enter SBC or Unidad bases if you're dressed as them to do hacking missions or something?

I've said it before, but going into this game I imagined Ghost Recon: GTA. A go anywhere do anything type game, because it was about a small squad of dudes in a foreign country surrounded by enemies. I expected a little more survival type gameplay, maybe with hunting, crafting, and interaction with locals. Nope.

I would like that Ghost recon Network would work better. There is achiewments that doesen't work properly. Also the Task force TAG is not showing properly on this game. I like to see these things fixed.

I'm sorry, but it had been so long since I played it I'd forgotten you have to use Spotting to make tagging the cargo truck driver easier. It CAN be done by yourself, but it is way harder than I'd remembered. Many times it's impossible. Aiming the drone right at the cargo vehicle and ordering a rebel Spotting ALWAYS tags the occupants inside it. Then it's quite easy to sync tag just the driver. I just got done farming several convoys again and it plays out this way every time if done right.

Ah cool. Will try that. Thanks.
