First, before I start, I'm just going to put this out there. I know I'm going to somehow upset someone so I gonna say this, all of the below are opinions, u don't have to agree with anything.
And with that out of the way, here are some of my thoughts on parrying post s5. Let me start with saying that gb on light party should be something in the game instead of unguaranteed. I do think that a light party is hard enough to warrant a gb for average players like me. Another concern could be that people may feel less rewarded to parry may simply turtle up to find new safe options, like a melee unblockable. But I can see y i would not want a cent having it.
Orochi needs to have at least 26~28 dmg on top light in my opinion but I'm sure plenty disagree. Once the patch drops, I'll try him and maybe then more people may disagree/agree with the Nerf?
One thing I absolutely disagree with is the standardising of all parry punishes across all characters. Now with gb no longer guaranteed, taking away the variety in parry risk makes the game alittle less fun for some characters, like how shinobi's zone's last hit causes people to miss gbs, or how valk's heavy can be used to bait parties for out of range attacks and follow up punishes, But that's all gone now.
I get that this patch will help plenty of newer players play better in yr 2 but there should be some way to keep the parry game less rewarding but still dangerous for anyone to get hit with it. I'd rather not have for Honor play like sfv and slightly more sf4
