yes but if he's counting on deflects maybe they should give him HA on it or something.. even when i get a deflect half the time it still gets punished or i take a bad trade still. and u can't reliable just deflect. so risky compared to parry and block. RIP RIP. id like to see u fight a berserker and try to win off deflects.. good luck, never going to happen. say what u want but orochi is just trash right now.
Stop trying to pigeonhole Orochi. Deflect is not his only move. He does get a heavy or light attack after a deflect, by the way. I thought you knew how to play Orochi?Originally Posted by Playing_Mantis Go to original post
If you are trading hits after a deflect, it's because your reaction for the attack is too slow.
Although his moves are relatively reliant on being executed from a defensive position, that doesn't mean he can't fight offensively.
Obviously he's not the best offensive hero, and I never said he was, but you probably just aren't suited to play that style of fighter.
Countless numbers of players use him very effectively, and that's because they play his strengths, mainly as a counter attacker. Again, that doesn't mean he has to sit and wait to be attacked.
Watch some good Orochi players online, and you'll see how they utilize his moves in an offensive way, in ways that are unconventional for a counter attacker. That's the whole idea behind mix-ups, to throw off your opponents anticipation.
LOL stop pigeon hole the orochi... ok i didn't do that, ubisoft did that when they gave him 2 options, top light and zone. but now the top light is **** so... yea. I'm sure u have more clever stuff so say but I'm done reading this post. orochi is bottom of the barrel, its just a fact man. i know some players can do well with him but overall he's just **** compared to these others. argue all u want, facts are the facts. orochi just is not in a good position and he needs major work to be viable at all in duel modes. his mixups are basically non existent. if he's not the worst hero maybe ..maybe valk is. but i still think Valk has more tools openers and such to be somewhat viable.
