I I'll try that I hope it eventually works, I dont think ubi soft is going to fix this bug.

Firstly try changing to faster internet connections, if you can get like 1% every second on the patch download, its good enough. Let it run eventually it will fail at around 27% - 30%. Close the game and re-open it. Let the patch download run again, and it will FAIL again and again. But trust me just keep repeating the process of closing & re-opening the game eventually you'll get to 50% after few tries. Then the blackscree will pop up and you will be taken to the title screen. After that you'll proceed normally to the main menu. I just finished my update 5 mins ago. And today is 12th of August 2019.

Adding my voice to the thread. I've tried the methods people have listed but it's no good for me. I've spent 30mins each day since the Hulda update trying to get the game to update on my PS4 but it's just not working. Is Ubi even working on this or have they forgotten us?

We all are having same problem , its been 12 days since i have not played this game. I kindly demand you when ever you fix this issue refund us all with 15000-17000 steel as I could have earned that easily under 12 days ,refund us our 12 days champion status or more, basically it depends upon the amount of days your team take to fix this issue and most of us have bought the season pass , we didn’t get to enjoy the benefit of 10 days of early access to the new hero so I demand more steel for that as well ,10 days have been already passed since the new hero update
I’m really disappointed with this game ,this game have good potential to be successful but its the fault of the ubisoft team which is causing the downfall of this game.

I don't think they are going to fix the bug. It's been 12 days and still they have no solution or status update.

I give up, I tried again today, I already tried to solve the problem a few days ago, but nothing changes, I still have the same damn error message.
No matter what method I use it's always the same thing, even if I insist for hours.
I have neither the time nor the patience to continue doing a wifi-voodoo ritual or whatever, I love you ubisoft, I love your games, but this is really not cool from you.

Thansk dude this method worked for me. After the black screen appears the game works perfectly for me. I hope this helps any one who has this bug.

Congratulations on getting in. Just spent today doing Gtt's method 50 times in a row and no luck for me. Just fails at 30-31%, never see anything higher or a black screen. Smash a few heads in with Jormungandr for the rest of us yes?
