Far Cry has a new Community Manager

    Hello everybody!

I thought it was probably about time I introduced myself to you all!
I am CJ, Far Cry's new Community Manager. Pleased to meet you

There is a chance some of you might recognise me from elsewhere; mostly from our German-language forums, but I was also part of The Division's Community Team.
Now, I join the ranks of the Far Cry CM team, so you guys have a new point of contact alongside the ComDevs, CMs and CRs you already know.

In the weeks and months to come, you should be seeing more of me on these forums.
I'm really excited to be involved with Far Cry 5 and looking forward to the game's launch just as much as you all are!

That's about it - I'll see you all out there as we all get ready to jump into Hope County!

    All the best,
    CJ

Hi, CJ! Any chance you'd have some information about FC5's multiplayer or map editor you could share?

I saw that. Very excited! I can't imagine they can talk about the editor without saying anything about multiplayer. They already said we can play co-op and competitive when they announced the game. However, I won't be at all surprised if they don't talk about lobbies or matchmaking. I have pretty low expectations there. They did say that you can only play co-op with your friends - that there is no matchmaking for that. If that's the way it is for player created maps as well, I don't think anyone here would be too happy.

Welcome aboard.. I hope you are into custom made maps on Far Cry. Its great when the Community Managers are into the game.. Some past CM did not seemed into the games they are managing or at least into all the features. So I hope you try out some of these Player made maps in Far Cry 5 when its released and maybe try to make a map too. I would be happy to play it. ;-)

    Cheers!

And well, to everybody who has asked in this thread for more info about multiplayer and the map editor: I hope this week's announcements have at least gone some way towards quenching your thirst

I'm going to have to admit that I am not a map maker, so with my experience it might not be a good idea for me to put one out ^^
But what I do love is playing custom maps, so I am excited to play as many community creations as I possibly can!
Perhaps we can highlight a few as the pool of maps increases

    All the best!

I am sure we can accommodate you for whatever style / preference of maps you like we can recommend map names as they become popular, also highlighting anything extra special or novelty along the way.
