I got an MPX in my free one, although I can't remember the name of it.
Is a weapon already on the game but different skin.

I don't mind battle crates if they offer pure cosmetic stuff.

    Understanding terminology.

That's why I have clearly stated variants..., fully kitted out, unique variants, but variants.

I think Ubisoft is actually worse than EA these days. They are money hungry a holes. I don't buy this garbage of "Well they need to keep the game running" Produce a solid game, listen to your fans and you'll sell more than enough copies to fill your pockets. Not to mention if the game is solid, people will buy up all the DLC packs you put out there. But give us worthwhile content. Not trash like Nacro Roads. But nope. That's not enough for Ubisoft. Lets release these packs and over charge for them. Once you're done milking gamers there, then you focus on PVP and these stupid *** loot boxes.

My new rule is this. I won't buy ANY game with a loot box system. I don't care if it's my favorite series and the game is getting 10's across the board. These companies can shove it. I'll gladly go spend my time and money elsewhere.

    Same

I didn't pay enough attention before I purchased, I didn't realize that they had JUST added lootboxes. If i had been more vigilant, i wouldn't of purchased it, though now that I have I will play it but they will receive no more money from me.

Yes, you should have read the details before spending up to $100.

They never said "when you spend a total of $100, you will get everything else we may release in the future".

I agree. A videogame is sold more by word of mouth by fans than by reviews or the name of the company that makes it. UNLESS the company makes bad product and then people tell their friends to stay away based on previous experiences with that company.

A friend at work bought GRW and recommended it to me. And a month after I had bought it he started to really see it for what it is and asked me if I had bought it yet and I said yes, and he was really sorry. But I wasn't because for it's many faults it was still a worthwhile purchase. If they had fixed the faults it would have been an even better purchase. I made a 7 page lists of things that I found could be made better or fixed and posted it here with all the zeal and furvor of a true fan who thinks that a game company will actually listen. And they said they would pass it on, my ideas were going to people who would read them and make fixes! But patch after patch came out where not even the most basic of faults I had found were fixed that I started to become toxic. And then I would run into these guys on here that no matter what Ubi did it was gold and that made me more toxic to the point I got banned. Now I am back and I have realized that no matter what is said nothing changes unless somebody upstairs wants it to change, so I just wait to see if this game gets better with no expectations for it to do so.

When I first bought the game I wanted to support Ubi so I bought all the accessory packs (also so I wouldn't have to find them), two of the weapon packs (the one with the whisper pistol which greatly disappointed me as to the amount of damage it does), two of the vehicle packs (I wanted a camo hummer and I wanted the race truck without having to find it), and the color pack (which HUGELY disappointed me when all I got was a completly red gun). Then I made my list and became sad and realized how much money I threw away for basically nothing. I can't use that stuff in another game and another year or two from now this game will be gone and I will be playing something else, which means I threw my money away, because the product wasn't really worth spending extra money on. If they had continued to work to make this game better I probably wouldn't have started feeling that way, but they started PVP and all of a sudden any major work on the campaign dried up. I didn't need the things I bought to complete the game, I bought them to support a company that, at the time, I believed in. If I could go back in time knowing what I know now I would not have spent an extra cent over what I paid to get the game. And I certainly wont spend extra money on FC5 when it comes out or any more money on any future Ubi game I might buy (which I will be really sceptical to buy anything from Ubi-Paris from now on).

Several people have asked me since if I have played GRW and I tell them it is a great game for what it is but it has many unfixed problems that you have to live with and I point out the big ones. None of them have thought it worth the bother to buy the game when the truth is pointed out to them. If they had QAed the game from the start and produced viable patches that fixed the things missed and that fans clamored for most I would have wholeheartedly recommended this game, and bought the next one without a second thought (if there is a next one).

I can respect how people spend their money but I can no longer have any empathy for any one feeling remorse afterwards because, and this is nothing new to UBI and/or any other Publishing Company (EA or Activision, etc, etc.)since they all do it and where they now feel that they are entitle to get money from you with false promises or half truths. More times than not, these people are just going to Mommy's or Daddy's wallet and pulling out their credit card, or worse, have that credit card on file and purchase whatever they want, hence, why these companies do it not caring for that one guy that works hard for his/her money.

Now, being said that, this has been happening for years now so for someone to get bamboozle like that, why hard to swallow, it is hard to get behind him or her. All I can say now is... jotted down to lesson learn and next time, regardless of which Co or Game it is, wait a while and see if the game is going in the direction they claim was going in their video trailers and interviews.

And I am sorry but I can not give my money to a company for half assed or mediocre stuff... not DLC or any other cosmetic thing that I can not really use for the gameplay but this is more so because I am old, single player gamer and I don't have a social media channel.

I realize that, but it was still a gun I didn't have til then. I also got just a skin for a different gun.
I just wanted to clarify that there are weapons, and I think vehicles as well, in the loot crates. That it's not just cosmetic stuff, but that ONLY the cosmetic stuff can be used in both single player and multiplayer online.
Which kinda sucks, I woulda liked to use that gun I got outta the free loot boxes against other people.
