I currently have this game rated a 1 on Google play even though I play it a bunch , simply because the matchmaking is broken garbage! I'm a pvp level 49-50 (back and forth) right now and I'm a level 13 but i constantly get matched up against legendary players (I've had to vs. #27 and #17) and players who are level 16-18 , players with level 5 (and ive seen level 6 cards to!) common cards and level 4 rares and epics...why isn't this fair?? Because I only have level 4 common and level 3 rares/epics! Sorry but your algorithm to match players up based on "skill" is completely useless garbage! I'm guessing "skill level" means win/lose ratio and that right there is the problem , why it's so utterly broken. You should be matched up based on brackets , once you have a level 3 card you can he matched up against other players with level 3 cards , once you have a level 4 card you can be matched up against other players with level 4 cards , etc. etc.
Unless the game is so broken that people are quitting left and right (thus not having a large player pool) , I know there are fair matchups I could be given. This really needs to be fixed for this game to really take a step forward and open up it's potential.
P.s. I don't know how to attach pics , maybe I can't on a mobile but I have the pics to prove the ridiculous unfair matches given to me. I still manage to pull through and win my packs even though I've spent 0.00$ on this game but if you guys fixed it , I might enjoy it more and actually spend some cash on it....and I'm sure there will be plenty of people (they probably all have level 5 cards and are in huge guilds with lots of card donation) who will call this whining but I'm sorry , it's not , the matchmaking is so broken and should be addressed.

I was just about to post the same as you. Completely agree, matchmaking is pure **** and there's hardly any skill involved.
My suggestion for fixing this is: everyone ranked Legendary will play with the same strenght on the cards (be it lvl 2 or lvl 10, don't care) and legendary only pairs with other legendary.
Im ranked legendary at lvl 14. As soon as Im vs a level 16+, I just put down the phone and let them win. If we play the exact same cards at the exact same way, I will lose bigtime anyway. If Im playing better than him, he will still win because of the enormous difference in strenght of the cards.
This way you need to level up your cards to a decent level to get to the legendary rank. And when you reach it, you have a fair chance of being the #1 BEST PLAYER IN SKILLS, NOT BEING THE #1 WHO PUT THE MOST MONEY INTO THE GAME.

Honestly guys, you are better off not getting legendary right now imo. If you think things are bad occasionally getting matched against top 50 players, wait till that is ALL you get matched against...
And yes, the matchmaking is not working well right now. I just wrote a long post saying the same.

Mass moronic match maker - if i get drawn against an opponent that has 3 levels above me in health this automatically means he has at least 5 cards advantage !!!
For me to take his extra given health i have to spend energy!!! This is not fair or balanced. But if a player manages to find a hole in their game - heyyyyy you are unsportsmanlike and get banned !!! And what is the point of getting drawn against player that have LEVELS of cards ABOVE mine !!!????? Where is the logic.
The logic of the developers is beyond and reasonable defending and they chose to always blame the user because yo know - as long as it is free we are automaticaly immune to do things in a moral and decent way!!!
in PVP most of the time you are either overpowered or being overpowered!!!!
The decks are the same - this means there is imbalance in the cards!
