    Ghost Recon Vietnam

Would any of you guys play a Vietnam game ? I would totally love this idea in the Ghost Recon 3rd person style. Maybe it could be the beginning of the Ghost teams ? That’s basically when the SEAL teams came into existence. They went from frogmen to all sorts of specialized training. I think it would be awesome, throwing grenades in the tunnels and send a tunnel rat in to check it out. Anyways I’m new here and this is my first post. I’m sure it’s been brought up before now anyways. I just think the World War 1/2 games are played out....even a good Iraqi War game would be great. Just tossing some ideas around....

That would be awesome. Jungle patrols and ambushes. Lots of great possibilities. As long as the ai isn't the same.

I like the idea for sure, but keep in mind, that they've most likely have been already working on the next ghost recon since the release (or maybe even before) wildlands came out.

I think the Idea for a game is really good but I think I would much rather keep ghost recon in the present day.

I'm with specter on this one. I would rather see GRW remain in present day or perhaps a not so distant past. ....definitely not future tech as I'm pretty tired of that myself. Leaning toward a more realistic military shooter experience would be ideal IMO.

Sadly for some, Ghost Recon isn't about your typical military shooter. The point of Ghost Recon are advanced and unique equipment, im not saying that we need 100% GRFS stuff but we need what's already on there since GR2, otherwise it wouldn't make sense on timeline, it either takes place short time after GRW (were they do use crosscom) or before or after the original GR1 (which can be possible if done well)

The Ghost Recon unit was founded in 1994, as stated in the original GR.

I ... i think I'd play this. Not only in Vietnam but working with Air America and the CIA in Lagos and the like. Modern ideas but limited tech. R147 drones can do flyovers but no real time footage. First gen NODs. Hushpuppy pistols.
