I waste so much time trying to farm these credits and buy caches with all the quitters and people just not knowing how to run the incursions.
It’s amazing, I never join anyone else and will MM until I’m leader and invite to party. No one listens, they don’t have the gear or don’t have a clue what they’re doing.
I think it would be really helpful if you put back in the hard difficulty so people can at least run them
and experience what they’re suppose to do.
Hard would be good, as I'm someone new to the game and don't have the best gear, let alone a clue on how to run the incursions. The one time I tried, it was a disaster of epic proportions and lets just say it didn't go well. But... on the flip side, having someone willing to guide one thru it without being an *** (not that you are... refer to my previous mention of an attempt) and yell 'Git Gud!' before the kick (God I hate that term) would be of equal help. I'm still gathering gear, and learning the builds with them... altho as a casual, part time gamer (life happens...) who knows if I'll ever get there. But it's still fun and I'll try again. Maybe.
I went old skool in Stolen Signal the other day and put down a mobile cover on the carpet got everyone with a Final Measure to put on in and voila. Elec room done. We came stuck in the last room, however. My 770k (flat rate. No Tac stack) health ballistic shield was getting shredded by the turret. I gave it about 10 try’s then called it a day.
Don’t know what’s happened to SS but what was once doable now isn’t.
Don't even get me started about this!
Lately looks like all players for Stolen Signal are complete noobs or have no idea whatsoever what to do there or what gear to use!
Btw, it is very do-able with a 770K shield in SS Heroic, you just need to time your hostage protection very well.
But for God sake, all them noobs there, killing the bosses too early, using wrong gear, no idea about spawns, etc...
So FRUSTRATING!
This is exactly my point, you should be able to experience it and progress through the levels of difficulty.Originally Posted by SwissyBaroo Go to original post
Learn the techniques, the routes and just experience the incursion.
Now a days, there isn’t many people running incursions before or after this GE, so MM is always difficult with pubs.
You can join anytime, I’m not the greatest player or the strongest but I have the technique and gear down, so will can get you through them.
I've never been able to complete stolen signal ever - which makes me sad as I enjoy all of upto the last room (though the corridor is a bit meh) - but whatever I do if I'm just present on a team even if I just stick to healing and leave the other 3 to shielding the hostage it just fails over and over with a hostage killed - the moment I drop they can complete it fine on the next try. They really should make the last room optional for an extra bonus or something because I know I'm not alone with that issue and even at the best of times a lot of people struggle with understanding it let alone having a loadout appropriate for that room.Originally Posted by Voronja_SaVi Go to original post
I'm ~8 hops and 7ms latency from the server with no packetloss or jitter to speak off so its not like I've a bad connection and the cause of some kind of desync issue or something.
Unfortunately, whilst I agree with you, this is as much a reflection upon poor game design and the developers' vision as it is upon those players themselves.Originally Posted by killer5x5 Go to original post
There was no instruction manual with this game, certainly no strategy guides for any of the co-op play missions and incursions. 1.8 has brought new players to the game but nothing has changed and many will leave because of examples like this.
Many don't have mics and if they don't understand what you are telling them they cannot respond. Many don't even speak English. Many DON'T have good gear because RNG sucks and Div Tech is locked in the DZ.
The elite have campaigned for harder content and to have the game put back to 1.3 levels of difficulty when as you and so many others have pointed out, this makes regular content too difficult for new inexperienced players. Why do you think they join incursions in the first place? Most hope to get carried by better players to get some loot to help them progress because they have failed doing that solo.
The developers do nothing to encourage new players into the game other than selling them hype and fake promises which quickly fade away as new players realize they are under geared unable to progress and nothing but a liability in harder content.
Is it any surprise that so many have left?
This game needs a way to allow players to try each gearset out. A small area of the map where they can equip a four piece (not a Classified) plus two HE pieces and enter an area of NPCs and bosses to try that set out.
Upon reaching level 30 every agent should be able to choose ONE 4-piece gearset with two HE pieces, so that they have at least one decent build to start farming.
I've complete Stolen Signal ONCE, the amount of randoms that had to be cycled through from quitting after a couple wipes was ridiculous, must have taken 3 and a half hours and like 16 people to beat. Every room is designed to simply overwhelm you if you deal too much damage.
Damage the grenade tossing boss in the electric floor room too fast? Heavies spawn literally every like 10 seconds giving you progressively less time to kill them before they borderline insta kill the hostage. (At one point in this room we had the grenade boss armorless within like a minute of being in the room, heavies were spawning with ZERO delay and we wiped because the last heavy that spawned had a like 6 second timer before he started shooting on him)
Damage the Sniper boss to fast? Room gets flooded with like 14 shotgunners and 9 heavies AT THE SAME TIME. (If you kill her too fast, the room will get flooded by like 4 dozen shotgunners and heavies, basically guaranteeing a wipe AFTER you've already killed boss)
Only room not complete BS like that is the bomb diffuse room, but I think that's just because the boss for that room never sits still more more than 2 mili-seconds making it hard to damage him fast enough to cause the room to get flooded with an absurd amount of baddies.
Then the last room, with the change (I did this before they borked shield builds) is basically impossible to beat now without having 3 people who have 6 piece Frontline, which is just bad design. Then the final boss is utter BS as the dude has a LMG that deals enough damage to kill a 200K health player in like 3 shots, and has the ability to pop a blue ult every 6 seconds it feels like so the damage window is so small it takes like 20 minutes just to whittle him down. (Then of course in traditional Massive fashion, they block access to the cheese room now, so you can no longer camp in the room under the minigun once the final boss jumps down, making this mission even more impossible than it already is)
Everything about Stolen Signal is just pure AIDS, beat it on Heroic once, never going to attempt playing it again.
Whats the point of adding hard if they dont even learn the objectives or mechanics on challenging? So many turn up for Stolen Signal Heroic just to be carried and then probably wonder why I leave when we die. Ive even stopped trying to help them understand. Its pointless. If they cant even see the orange shield to stand next to a particular hostage at a particular time or even equip shields then Id rather save my breath!
I can do the other incursions no problem with most of my characters but Stolen Signal is the worst if you have 2 or 3 that need to be carried in any mission/incursion then the fault lies with how the game presents the challenge to players. No player should be able to move onto the harder difficulties unless theyve completed the previous difficulty at least 5 or 10 times.
