    Favorite GE

This has probably been my favorite all around GE. I thought the commendations were pretty straight forward and I like how the masks were available for basically anybody that wanted to get them. I also like the difficulty because it opened things up. I have 4 toons and all of the classified sets. I used a good deal of builds on this one to just have fun. Yeah its still a grind, but it was a break. It was fun pulling off 1 shot head shots with a sniper one round and then blowing everything up the next with seekers and sticky bombs. To me this one basically was a way for people to get something done that they had not before. Flawless an incursion or a legendary.

The draw back I have is to me this batch of gear was lacking. GE1 had Lonestar that was fun. GE2 had Striker and Reclaimer. GE3 was loaded with Predator, D3, and Nomad. GE4 has sets I really wanted but are just not there. No I don't need the air burst back, but the sets seem weak in comparison. Be interesting to see how things play out after the modifier is off and I have some more time with them.

I agree, this GE was the best.

I just can’t put in the time with work and have only bought 30 caches with no complete new sets, however I still don’t have a single piece of classy predator or nomad lol

I'd say GE4 was by far the easiest GE so far.
May favorite was Outbreak, but that isn't saying much since I find all the GEs fairly boring.
I think I like more than the rest because it was about the Cleaners.

If you take away any important loot from the GE, I bet most will say they're boring.
It's why you can get people spending a ton of hours in a GE and say it's boring. I saw tons of this in GE3
It's the loot that makes the GEs interesting, not the GE mechanics itself.

I would say that the first GE was actually fun, because it was new and different. now it is just a lame gimmick to cover for the fact that they have nothing new to add to the game, but making us run the same "done this 1000 times" content.

What are they going to do next? crimson doubles or sparrow racing *barf*

GE4 was fun, but the commendations were recycled. It was the same commendations from previous global events. The classified gear sets were so underwhelming.

The masks were too hard to get in my opinion. I could unlock one of the three but only because I played alone so no one stole my kills. It's also a bit strange that in a cover shooter you are asked to stand in the open and kill that way, or while in motion. The kill counts were also too high.

This is the only GE I've experienced (was taking a break from the game and ignored the first three).

It's been fun, got two of the three masks, only managed about 25 or 30 caches though. Would've liked more, but...life.

My only real issue, as I've mentioned before in another thread, is that I'm going to feel like I'm shooting spitballs once the bonus damage goes away. I was really enjoying taking on higher difficulty content that I never was able to do before...and now when the GE ends, I'm going to be struggling again.

I'd love to see that damage bonus stick around, (though in a greatly decreased state...200+% is a little ridiculous)...I think it's a great mechanic. Although I'd make it be bonus damage if you're stationary AND in cover. It is a cover shooter, after all...would be nice if we were rewarded for playing the game the way it seems to have been intended.

I disagree with this. Personally, I think they were too easy to get. I had all 3 the morning of day 2. All the commendations done by end of day. On the other hand, in GE2, earning the masks was tough... flawless Falcons lost, etc. In this one, the masks were not even tied to the hardest content. You could get one just playing solo moving around killing npcs, another just killing larae over an over (exactly like GE3), and the 3rd... team up with a healer, run a sentry, and just do dragons a couple of times. This is how we did it... one guy is healer one guy kills. Flip roles and repeat. Done. In general, I felt that the commendations were all too easy and no thought went into them whatsoever. I mean, melee kills... 2.5 times through Police with a D3 and you're done. And

Favourite thing about this event was it made hunting hunters in the underground much easier, they melt in one clip with just a bit of the damage bar. (I couldn't give two hoots about the sets from this GE, I'm still throwing all my div tech into a few different configurations of classified striker gear)

Got two of the masks by accident while farming for the Sting mask, which shows that they really did make them too easy, and you didn't even need to be in Ambush missions.

I did try the highest level of Ambush, and found the damage while moving quickly to be a bit of a nause. Outbreak was better, it could be seriously challenging at times, and encouraged good tactics.
