If you actually pay attention and listen, you’d know it’s more than just creating dedicated servers. I’ll repeat myself for the slow kids...

The same team has to create dedicated servers from scratch, while constantly maintaining the current P2P build of the game and improving that, while also rebuilding all the core aspects and mechanics of the current game that was built to run on a P2P system to run and work effectively on Dedicated Servers. Then they have to facilitate a shift from P2P to Dedicated Servers, all while working on the bugs and feedback received from the dedicated server test in December. If you think it’s so easy why don’t you get 5 developers together and do it yourself?

Wouldn’t expect anything less from someone who assumes they are more skilled than someone else because they have a differing opinion on how a game mechanic works, and corrects you on your own mistakes as a player. If this is how you treat a company when they are actually doing something right, you’re the worst type of customer anyone could ask for. Could you also explain how building servers isn’t core and fundamental, seeing as the entire game will rely on it? Sounds like a core aspect to me.

If you were a TRUE gamer ( you`re probably a kid) you would understand how a company proceeds to develop and sustain respect to customers, and trust me dedicated servers could have been available a few months after launch. Don't buy like a mindless person everything they tell you. ( It's so damn hard, we're working so hard, please understand we are working above our limits to deliver that) etc. those crap they always give us along the TM brand word " SOON"

Nah, I’ve just got reason, common sense and something called patience, none of which you seem to have. So what makes you assume I’m a kid? Is it your own insecurities, seeing as your tone is trying to bully and intimidate with the words your choosing. I do enjoy replying to threads on this forum and been a part of an online community discussing a game a lot of us enjoy playing. What’s so wrong with that? Do you not come onto this forum to reply to threads, or to just be someone who attacks the dev team and company at every chance you get?

At the start of the games life I was incredibly vocal about how poor the connection was, still am vocal about how dissapointing the armors are and am more than willing to let this company know what a sorry state their forums are still in due to the sheer amount of spam we receive on a daily basis. In my country that’s not ***-kissing, where you come from who knows.

I work full time for a company that doesn’t do any advertising and all the work we get is through word of mouth, and we are busy every day of the week so I do understand how a company needs to act to maintain a player base. It’s got nothing to do with been a “true gamer”, it’s about morals as a human being. Yeah Ubisoft has dropped the ball on this and the dev team haven’t helped their cases with how nochalant they’ve been in Dev Streams in the past, first example I can think of is how they where making jokes about the rigged faction war.

But isn’t it kinda rich and hypocritical off you telling me not to assume anything but then going on to assume my age by calling me a kid?

Funnily enough though, in that last thread you thought you where so bang on the answer and felt big enough to go on about skill, but you disappeared real quick when showed you where actually inferior in that regard. How can you expect to have any credibility anywhere when your challenged you scurry away like a coward?

How do you make excuses for a company that was given an obscene amount of money and resources, hence AAA title quality, a year after release? The lag we have in this game is similar to the type of lag I'd encounter over a decade ago playing Xbox 360 games.

There's a reason this game is truly unique and stands out while still having a terrible reputation and small playerbase. The ideas and vision are there, but these guys let this game go.

It's literally pathetic and unacceptable. They have some of the best jobs on the planet being able to create video games like I'm sure we all wish we could do to earn our paychecks. Yet, a year after release there is noticeable game breaking lag in PvP matches to varying degrees.

Sometimes you feel like you're being lag switched by your opponent which again is reminiscent of early 2000s multiplayer games. While the other times lag occur it's sneaky and comes in the form of lying to you such as performing a parry on your enemy but being denied the free damage even though on your screen it looks like your follow up attack connected but then half a second later the game rewinds and enemy blocks said follow up attacks.

I watched the season 5 reveal stream and what's sad is how much of an act it truly was.
They don't care about their job or they can get away with half assing things. You cannot explain to me that you release a game on big a scale as Ubisoft and expect me to swallow your shallow grade school kid excuses. You can't fool your playerbase neither which is why you have this highly recognizable different engaging looking game while boasting numbers that free to play games laugh at. How can you say "they're trying" when they haven't solved connectivity issues a year after release. Pathetic and I'm embarrassed to try to defend this game when the 9/10 people in the room are quick to say this game is trash.

Where's the interesting game modes? They don't think an arena where players can watch others duel and wager while the contestants battle for glory in front of an audience?

Why can Blizzard's Overwatch team release new game modes, new heroes, implement nerfs and buffs simultaneously while 1 of which makes Ubisoft production come to a screeching halt? Because Blizzard cares and these guys don't.

I’m not making excuses though, I’m stating facts. Just like it’s a fact that many players reported, after multiple stability updates that they have no problems with connection and that the game runs fine. It is also a fact that many other players have reported, myself included, that the game still runs at a sub-par level connection wise and this effects our experience. But I can wait for Dedicated Servers, as every day brings them closer.

All of these issues you describe will hopefully be resolved with the dedicated server release and the implementation of lag compensation with it. So I acknowledge that these are problems in the game, and a reason why I can only play 5-7 games before moving to something else. But again, I can patiently wait until servers come sometime in the near future. We have already waited this long for them, what’s another month or two?

I feel I covered this a bit in my reply to Jarl, but I’ll copy it here roughly. When the team was making jokes about the faction war been rigged, which I think was a valid concern, many players were annoyed at them on the stream for taking the piss out of it. I wasn’t vocal on it admittedly, but I still didn’t like the attitude. I can still agree that they seem far to relaxed at times and don’t take it seriously enough as a job, and that they use the 1 hour stream as an extended coffee break at times, but that’s not an issue with the game mechanics, that’s an issue with providing a solid company image and needs to be worked on outside the developers computers. I will defend this game still because I believe it’s heading in a good direction and I’ve been having fun playing it for the last year. But if others say it’s trash, I understand why but will still try and say my thoughts and convince them it isn’t the end of days for this game.

They probably do think it’s interesting, as something like that has been requested before and I do believe a Mod has forwarded the suggestion to them before, but are starting off with implementing it in the way it is to first work out any kinks in the setting, and then possibly add it as a true mode later down the track. I can almost guarantee that there will be threads in the future requesting this once players get their hands on the mode now. It could even become something part of the event playlist.

Never played a Blizzard game and won’t pretend to know anything about how big their team is or how effective they are, so I can’t comment on that. Besides from stating that yes, some developers are better and more efficient than others, but how can you say the team doesn’t care when they have been listening to our feedback? Reworking heroes, implementing servers, and a ton of other things have been done as a direct result of player feedback, and if they didn’t care we wouldn’t be getting any reworks.

Yeah, but then it’s not hard to simply click the “edit” button and correct the mistakes to something coherent, or even proof read your message before you press “post reply”.
