**** like this is the reason why people won't play your ranked mode.

I'm not naming or shaming the guy who beat me because chances are he didn't even see the same thing i was seing and had no control over what was happening.

But here's the thing. When the lag is so ****ing bad that i can not only get a kill but then also begin an execution only to be whipped back seconds before to find my *** getting killed, then what's the ****ing point?

Yeah, i'm pretty ****ing salty right now, again not at the guy i fought, but at the ****ing game. I wouldn't be this ****ing butt hurt over losing as long as i could actually see what the **** is actually happening in the game instead of my opponent bouncing around all over the ****ing place and doing damage that i can't even see until it's too late.

Ubisoft, when is this going to get fixed? What plans are in motion to fix this? are the developers aware that this is a problem in your ranked system?

I ask, because this **** is getting super old and i'm not touching ranked again until its fixed. I thought i could give it another try, but in this instance, i gladly take the penalty for abandoning the tourney. I can beat a player, but i can't beat lag.

Example by video soon to follow, stay posted.

I feel you bro, it’s been happening to me all day today. I’d be fighting someone getting hits on them then all of a sudden time goes back , he’s hitting me and I’m almost dead while his hp somehow went back up.

Totally reasonable for a AAA game to have game breaking connectivity issues in a competetive pvp game where every millisecond counts. Right? At release? Oh wait, woops, this games actually been released for nearly a year.

Devs can't be bothered to solve balance issues nor connectivity issues. But things are looking up, we got cosmetic effects that can now be assigned to different executions. Hold the applause. I've been led to believe there are several different departments behind the scenes, each responsible for different parts of the games development.

So to clear things up, the guys in cosmetics are killing it but the guys in gameplay balance aren't able to keep up, they have an average wait time to fix known issues that exceeds a month. Maybe they could switch departments? So we could get some balance restored in the game to ensure good fair gameplay? One things wrong with that, if they switch departments and cosmetics take months to release content then surely profits will fall since there won't be anything to buy with steel and real money.

It just dawned on me, the cosmetic department gets flak too! Players complain about a lack of interesting unique gear which is instead stocked with similar gear with slightly different adornments such as different spikes to a preexisitng armor already with smaller spikes. The cosmetic guys hands are tied though, they say the guys that make the combat and gameplay can't accommodate whacky new armor models. Are you telling me the guys who handle gameplay are slowing down the flow of new cosmetic gear? Tsk tsk.

Is this real life? Does no one hold anyone accountable in your offices?

The game is brilliant and the maintenance to keep the game up to snuff has been absolutely disregarded. I really like this game which is why I get so worked up that these guys control the fate of what could of been.

The devs actually have been bothered to fix connectivity issues. I’d like to see you say how easy it is to restructure the entire game that was built around P2P, while building dedicated servers from the ground up while also maintaining and working on the current build of the game all at the same time. It’s not something that can be done in a few weeks, or even months. The team also has released several stability updates through the course of the year, which has worked for some people but hasn’t worked for others. Hence the dedicated servers.

What you’ve been led to believe about different teams working on different things is correct. There are different levels of expertise in the team, and developers who are specialised in a certain field. They all just can’t work on the one thing. Putting the guys who work on balance into the cosmetics would never work. My job is a trade, and there are plenty of other trades in Australia. Just because I’m effecient in one trade doesn’t mean I can go into a complete new aspect of it and work well from the word go. I’d have to learn different techniques and that takes time. The same goes for game development and all the different aspects of it. You can be really good at creating dynamic weather effects but not know anything about fixing bugs.

With the Armor variations, it has been a concern of mine since the start that all the Armors do look the same and it has been a poor effort from the team in that regard, especially that Season 4 was promised to have brand new variations, but that simply wasn’t the case. I can only hope they have finally listened and learned how to make it work with the gameplay.

Here's a couple of videos i recorded during torunaments. this is the kind of stuff people gotta deal with during a tournament at this rate it's more of a hassle than it's worth.

again, not naming and shaming anyone, just showing what kind of lag takes over in these game modes, and only this game modes it seems like. i don't have this kind of problem in any of my other games in any other game modes.

We've all been there. That is the exact reason I stay away from ranked at the moment. I'd rather walk barefoot on broken glass.

To top it off there is almost zero incentive to play ranked too. No extra XP, no extra steel...an ornament...yey. The MM is terrible because no one plays is and because the MM is terrible no one plays it. The effect reinforces itself.

Hopefully this will change when the dedicated servers are released.

I laugh so hard when i see dumb people who think dedicated servers it's a "core and fundamental challenging stuff" Bhahahaha..

Dedicated servers have been into gaming since 2000, just saying. There are indie companies who developed entire dedicated servers with a crew of 5 people.

Originally they thought their P2P servers would be faster than dedicated servers but on a large scale it failed pretty miserably, making dedicated servers isn't hard, but when the game is designed with P2P it isn't easy to just switch it over is what the devs are saying.

If you actually pay attention and listen, you’d know it’s more than just creating dedicated servers. I’ll repeat myself for the slow kids...

The same team has to create dedicated servers from scratch, while constantly maintaining the current P2P build of the game and improving that, while also rebuilding all the core aspects and mechanics of the current game that was built to run on a P2P system to run and work effectively on Dedicated Servers. Then they have to facilitate a shift from P2P to Dedicated Servers, all while working on the bugs and feedback received from the dedicated server test in December. If you think it’s so easy why don’t you get 5 developers together and do it yourself?

Wouldn’t expect anything less from someone who assumes they are more skilled than someone else because they have a differing opinion on how a game mechanic works, and corrects you on your own mistakes as a player. If this is how you treat a company when they are actually doing something right, you’re the worst type of customer anyone could ask for. Could you also explain how building servers isn’t core and fundamental, seeing as the entire game will rely on it? Sounds like a core aspect to me.

How do you make excuses for a company that was given an obscene amount of money and resources, hence AAA title quality, a year after release? The lag we have in this game is similar to the type of lag I'd encounter over a decade ago playing Xbox 360 games.

There's a reason this game is truly unique and stands out while still having a terrible reputation and small playerbase. The ideas and vision are there, but these guys let this game go.

It's literally pathetic and unacceptable. They have some of the best jobs on the planet being able to create video games like I'm sure we all wish we could do to earn our paychecks. Yet, a year after release there is noticeable game breaking lag in PvP matches to varying degrees.

Sometimes you feel like you're being lag switched by your opponent which again is reminiscent of early 2000s multiplayer games. While the other times lag occur it's sneaky and comes in the form of lying to you such as performing a parry on your enemy but being denied the free damage even though on your screen it looks like your follow up attack connected but then half a second later the game rewinds and enemy blocks said follow up attacks.

I watched the season 5 reveal stream and what's sad is how much of an act it truly was.
They don't care about their job or they can get away with half assing things. You cannot explain to me that you release a game on big a scale as Ubisoft and expect me to swallow your shallow grade school kid excuses. You can't fool your playerbase neither which is why you have this highly recognizable different engaging looking game while boasting numbers that free to play games laugh at. How can you say "they're trying" when they haven't solved connectivity issues a year after release. Pathetic and I'm embarrassed to try to defend this game when the 9/10 people in the room are quick to say this game is trash.

Where's the interesting game modes? They don't think an arena where players can watch others duel and wager while the contestants battle for glory in front of an audience?

Why can Blizzard's Overwatch team release new game modes, new heroes, implement nerfs and buffs simultaneously while 1 of which makes Ubisoft production come to a screeching halt? Because Blizzard cares and these guys don't.
