This is a thread mostly aimed at anything you personally might've found while playing the game. Be it a piece of dialogue that felt unsettling, or just a sight that made you think "Oh dear, I might want to back away from this".
One of the things that I have encountered, while hunting for phone recordings, was what looked like a ritual site. I can't remember in which district it was, but it basically involved a wooden table, with a massive stack of dead rats on it, and dead rats littered around. And above, you see a man with an octopus wrapping it's tentacles around his head. It could be a reference to some kind of Lovecraftian sight, I am not sure, it certainly looked the part. Other than that, I'd call it a pretty neat place, if a little spooky.
Another thing I felt unsettled by are the Cleaners. Well, who wouldn't feel unsettled by a flamethrower junkie who's misguided, thinking that he's doing a good thing setting people on fire?
Well, I think we can all agree that Amherst's Apartment is a pretty unpleasant place, where we can hear people scream for mercy as Cleaners run around, setting people on fire. It's not something to accept lightly, and it kinda makes one wonder where did the Cleaners go wrong, starting off with good intentions only to turn in to a feared faction?
And on the lighter side, something that we all probably can agree on as well (Assuming we got the Underground Expansion). We all know the Hunters. Those crazy ninjas who jump around, appear unexpectedly, and can one-hit K.O you if you try to give them a hug. Well, I just finished a 2-phase Operation, solo, on Challenging, and it was against Rykers, probably my least favorite opposition, and then I have two Hunters show up. My encounters with them thus far has been a K.O, so I got scared pantsless. So I run around, trying my best to Pulse them so I know where they are, and then gun them down when I have the chance. And just as one of them was about to smack me, he goes down and gives me loot. Oh boy, was I scared of that.
And that's my story. Does anyone have any other similar stories they would like to share?
