Honestly my two recommendations for LMG's is adjust their recoil pattern to be more predictable and allow the implementation of a bi-pod attachment so you can attach the weapon to a wall or table and improve the accuracy and precision of the gun in exchange for being limited to swiveling the gun on a flat surface rather than freely moving around with it.
I think they should definitely have less recoil but a bipod in Siege would not be helpful in the slightest, it is too close quarters and just look at Tachanka... Standing still is never a good idea.

Well for a spray and pray menace, not at all. However is the set capacity sensible for the situation you are in? Yeah, for the most part.
I do tend to use LMGs when goofing around so I do hold the trigger a bit like Rambo, so that is why I run dry with the LMGs, but you are right the extra ammo isn't needed from a competitive or requirement stance.

Honestly I could see a case being made for a bipod on an LMG. It would require some teamwork, but an LMG in a fixed position can control a hallway with someone else to keep defenders bottled up while the rest of the team flanks around, before the machine gunner moves to another position to lay down extended strings of fire from another position.

I would also argue that it would help by shifting the balance of how the gam is played, since right now the state of the game literally seems to be nothing more than “get the fastest operators with the fastest firing guns and win by being faster than the opposition”. Steps should be made to allow alternative ways of winning a match to counteract the current strategies used by most players to win matches.
