Greetings,
I want to give Ubisoft some feedback regarding my experiences with news and general information.
A very good example is the news-article about the extended ops and battle crates on steam.
Here is the story:
Starting steam and seeing a huge patch for GRW coming in, naturally i am curious what it's about and so i click on the 'NEWS'-Button beside the download. I get directed to the news about all the stuff in the patch. However it seems most interesting informations are in some "FAQ". Where one can find that FAQ is not shown, there is no link nor even a hint where to find it.
That leaves me with multiple options:
- steam library/game manual
- steam store page
- grw-website
- ubisoft club
- grw.network
Ahh nice, as i didn't had any plans for the remaining day i tried them all. No success anywhere, then i got a hint from a friend it might be in the newsfeed on the grw-website. Voila, it's actually really hidden somewhere in that news. Upon reading the FAQ i had a slight deja vu: the interesting information (what is inside those crates) is somewhere else.
Are you kidding me?????
Same story again, it says the list of all items can be seen on some page at the GR-Network - no link or further explanation. No surprise: there is no Battle Crate or FAQ to be seen in the GR-Network main menue... some time later i stumble upon it under 'my profile' - seems very logical as i do not own a single crate. Probably the first stop for everybody looking for infos on crates lol
But it get's even better: There is only a list with a lot of names, no explanation, not even a hint if we are talking about a weapon, a color for the uniform, for the weapon ... totally useless.
As you can see the provided information in the news and the deployment of the information is absolutely stupid. Why the heck split up the information on 3 different sources and why are there no links to each source? Whoever is responsible for that unsatisfying experience should really get some training on the art of informing customers - also to try to get a view from a customers point of view is advised.
Regards
Drake
