New trend of defeatism? or whatever the **** it's called....

Throughout the games existence this past year, there's been a couple of trends that have gone around. some have stayed, some are no longer here, some were harmless and funny, others could have probably been considered grieving.

But i'm noticing with more games i play that lately there's been a new and, in my opinion, an annoying one. Players, for some reason, when they're the last one standing will simply give up. Dominion, elimination, even occasionally in brawl, when one team is breaking or down to the last player that player will cease to play. They'll just run away to a safe place and when the enemy gets close they'll start emote spamming and just give the enemy team the victory.

Where the **** did this come from? The point of this game is to fight until you win or you're beaten, with everything you got, and if you lose then at least you tried your best.

Worried about getting ganked? why? it happens all the time and people have been able to come back from last man team breaking to a full victory so why wouldn't you want to try for that?

I do the same when I am the last survivor of my team at the end of the match. Why should I waste my time when it is 1 vs. 4. I will not have any chance to win and I cannot bring back my team. So why should I fight then? Even when I would win against 4 enemies then they would just respawn. This is just a waste of time.
I only fight when I know that I could still win the match.

When you are going to die anyway, would you not want to go down fighting? Or would you just roll over like a sheep and take the cowards way out. A warrior wouldn’t sit down and let his enemies walk all over him.

Or when playing as a Samurai they could implement a seppuku button in situations like those.

I second this. 100% of my deaths at end game are from cata and fireflask so id easily rather commit seppuku then let one of those effing things hit me.

I like to find a high point to jump off of. Closest thing in the game to seppuku.

Why should I fight? I will die anyway in 1 vs. 4 and I would just delay my death and waste some more time.
I just stand still, let them kill me and then I will be sooner in a new match.

This is a videogame. Nothing in this game is realistic, nothing in this game correlates with honor and nothing in this game correlates with anything that real warriors did. Maybe some kids feel like warriors when they play this game but they never behave like warriors.

It is always funny when people mention honor or warlike behaviour in one sentence with a videogame.

Waste your enemies time too. Die a good death, not a cowards. It’s a fighting game, go down with a fight not like a lamb for the slaughter.

Wait, so you saying nothing in a fighting game that involves armies and soldiers charging at each other and killing each other is nothing like what real warriors did? Yeah it’s a video game, but I’m not the type of person to just give up when everything seems lost. I don’t wanna be that person hiding and just accepting what’s gonna happen, and if I’m gonna go down I’m gonna try and take a few with me. I’ve held off a 4v1 in the past and ended up winning that fight due to breaking the enemy team. Would that of happened if I just decided to give up? Just because it’s a game doesn’t mean I can’t take it semi-seriously. Was always a fantasy of mine when I was a young child to be a warrior or Viking from the Middle Ages. A game is somewhere I can pretend to be one, even though I know it’s not real.

Do whatever you want. If you feel like a warrior then enjoy it. I won't waste my time senselessly for something in a videogame and I certainly won't identify myself with videogame characters.

Well, when i look back to may last games where i were last man, its very rare that enemy just wait for me to duel 1vs1, if u just stay in, u not only have 3 o 4 people to fight in same time, they have most already all 4 feats free, and yes gg, u will habe 0 % chance to avoid all feats, stay i fight vs a gang, the only thing is just run away and hop that u maybe ( if u have the right hero ) carry them to a water or hole to kill , or just see 0 chance and let them kill u and with it next round could begin earlier.
