    Yeah, so it's 2021 and Ubi still hasn't fixed it. So I recently got in contact with the support and Kaefigseele's solution is still the only way to get it running without downloading the game otherwise. The support was nice and when I told them about the issue and the solution they immediately helped.

    I fixed the Hammers of Fate install script

    I fixed the Hammers of Fate install script for my partner. It might help you too.

    The problem was that Ubisoft modified the original game's registry key path, without modifying where the expansion pack looks for those keys. My fix is to either modify the install script such that it looks for the correct registry key or to copy the registry key into the correct place.

    My experience

    In my experience I'd say the 7 out of 10 times it is worth but it depends much in the day and situation you are having. If you can handle well the waiting times then yes go ahead.

    Hopefully, there are still good person out there. Just sad that even after this fix, Ubisoft does not change their system do permenantly solve the issue.
