    option to remove paintings

hi! I don't really like all the painting stuff on the gear, it can be removed on certain parts, but not on other, why?
would be great if we could remove paintings on every piece of gear! thanks!

You can't remove it on every piece of gear simply because they want you to have at least 1-2 pieces where you can have distinguishing team colors visible so you aren't just a full black edgelord and it takes a while for anyone to figure out which side you're on.

I agree it's for easier differentiation on who is blue team and who is orange team, however in 4v4s there's a blue 'Defender' icon next to each blue team member's name, and a orange 'Attacker' icon next to each orange team member's name. And in Brawl, you see all the emblems on the top right corner of the screen, so you'll know who your opponents are from their emblems.

Also some Defender colors have purple hues and green palettes and some Attacker colors have yellow palettes etc. They are off-shore colors that might not immediately outline on which team the other player is. You'll more than likely resort to the icon next to their name to tell on which team they are (in 4v4s).

I for one would appreciate if I could choose to remove all patterns off all the parts, for fashion purposes. Many of the patterns are ugly anyway, and oftentimes the pattern I desire is still locked behind a higher reputation level or a Mythic/Mask outfit on a given hero.

There is truth to what you're saying, and yes we'd all like to be edgelords but in hectic situations those colors do actually matter. In 4v4s there are a lot of team fights going on, and in bigger fights there are a lot of health bars and they can overlap, looking at the enemy is always more reliable. And don't forget about Stealth feat, if every PK, Shaman and Shinobi can just go into full black gear and have stealth feat, it will be difficult not just to differentiate teams but also to notice them at all cause there's nothing on them to catch your eye. I appreciate freedom with fashion as much as you, trust me on that, but I just don't see them ever changing it so that you can have no patterns on all pieces of your gear, the best we can hope for is a color wheel and adjusting positions and size of patterns and even this is far fetched.

thanks for your replies, thats much appreciated!
Oops yeah, didn't think about 4V4.. sorry! xD
Though maybe we could get a style preset for 4V4 and 2V2 with obligatory paintings and a 1V1 style preset where we can remove any painting! would be great!
i feel like i'd enjoy this game more with some more "realistic" armors, i mean, maybe that's wrong but when i think about a knight i don't think about him with his armor painted in orange, green or yellow, i just imagine a simple steel plate armor x)

The only knight in the game that can't remove a pattern from his armor is the right shoulder plate on centurion, all other knights can remove the patterns on all metal bits of their armor but are forced to use it on the clothes/tabards so you're good there already unless you're talking about centurion specifically in which case RIP

Ah yes good catch, I forgot about the Stealth feat. This will certainly cause problems when coupled with all-black gear.

mwell yeah, i guess color are fine.. x) though the 2 presets things (one with obligatory paintings for 4V4 and 2V2 and another FOR 1V1 where we can remove any paintings) would be cool! :3

Some Neutral color palettes allow you to mask all patterns that are mono-colored and dual-colored. If the pattern is tri-colored, the third color will show. If you want an all-black look in Neutral, pick any mono-colored pattern, choose the Bleeding color palette, and choose black iron material on armor. It's the easiest way to go full-black.

Thanks a lot for your advice and your time! though i'm not a fan of the full black style x) i'd just like to have a normal armor, so i ask on the suggestion category of the forum, hoping devs are reading our suggestions x)
thanks again to all of you!
