Note: I wasn't sure what to put this in so I put it in general discussion and movie makers discussion

I was mucking around with Far Cry today and decided, inspired by the half-life done quick movies to see how fast I can do the first three levels of Far Cry. Here's what I managed:

    Training - 4:49
    Carrier - 3:31
Fort - 3:38 (plus about a minute and a half)

I've managed to put them into movies to show and for entertainment purposes. I recorded each checkpoint seperately and put them back together into one movie to make sure I did it correctly. I cut out the bit on Fort when I was waiting behind a crate for entertainment's sake.

    Training movie
    Carrier movie
    Fort movie

You'll have to rename then to .wmv's, the server I use is down so it's back to angelfire

Also, I didn't shoot or kill anyone except for the guy with the keycard on Fort. Just wanted to know if anyone else has any fast times and if they wanted to post their own movies they could.

    Very nice initiative
(if you can make downloading movies work!)
CptLong and Jimbocry have been on the speedtrack too:I seem to remember CptLong
having done Fortlevel in 3.30,but they did no movies!
    I tried Fraps,but couldn't make it work;the
30 seconds limit is way to short for the free version. And paying for questionable quality
software is not very Dutch:I'm gonna try GameCam (/lite) one of these days!

You saying the links aren't working? And 3:30 even with waiting for the doors to open?

When I "download to disk" the links it saves a jpg: "image hosted by angelfire" for all 3 movies
For the actual times (maybe they went over the
fort-roof directly after the 3-rd-last saving point
at the bunker-exit were the sniper is posted!)
you should check their posts (search:speed?)

Try now, I put them as txts instead. Sunset bay chronicles worked with .txt

The supersonic thread. I believe all these were done on realistic difficulty.

I thought this thread was going to be about something entirely different based on the title. Oh well.
