Any Word Yet on Dedicated Servers?

Just checking in, haven't played the game in half a year waiting for DS (and hopefully, less laggy connections). Heard there was a test beta recently and wondering if anything's been said about a timetable or general time to expect it (month, quarter, season, etc). Thanks!

The official word is "during the next season". So maybe in around two months...

The last they said on it is that it is in the last development phase and, as Tyrjo said, some time during (they didn't say the start of) season 5 so we have one weekof this season and about three of offseason where it won't be, then a period of ten weeks plus the two to three weeks of offseason before season 6 so assuming on target, somewhere in the middle of 4-17 weeks. We did have an open test on them and for most, they worked pretty well, there were some concerns raised in countries that didn't have the best servers in play, one of the objectives for them is better servers in the likes of Australia and Brazil.

When the servers drop they will also have the tools for lag compensation in the build but not turned on until they have some hard numbers when the servers are live under full load.

As an Aussie, I was never connected to a game in Australian servers due to what I believe was a low number of players who actually downloaded the test on Xbox to play. I was matched up with foreign players, with some other aussies thrown into the mix. For the most part, even connected to foreign servers it was smooth. There was hardly any crashes or disconnects, but there was delayed attacks and instances of them appearing to be blocked and then actually hitting, and vice versa. I raised my concerns that Aussie servers may actually be lacking on release due to low number of testers, so hopefully it will be smooth sailing.
