All jokes aside I hope this happens and here's why.
PUBG is too unstable and the gunplay is not suited for console players.
Fortnite is a great and well refined experience but the building mechanics and the lack of simple tactical features like going prone turn away a lot of players.
Ghost recon wildlands on the other hand is one of the most well developed open world environments I have ever experianced, additionally the gunplay is probably the best of a 3rd person shooter (with and without aim-assist) a console player can hope for. It's just such an intuitive platform that seems like a natural fit for a battleground mode.
We understand the appeal of BR, but there are no plans for BR in GRW. The team did explore modes with more players but the changes to the game structure and technical challenges are not possible to undertake now.Originally Posted by bent_toe Go to original post
So you are saying that with all of the technical ability and talent that this studio has, you did not foresee the want for true open world multiplayer on the massive map that you built? Doesn't have to be a BR mode, but something in line with needing to loot for bullets, supplies, and guns while dealing with the AI and actual enemy players!
I love this game, but you guys have shown time and time again to not give a single care as to what your real fans want! Would you do us all a favor and start listening to the community and stop making money grubbing additions like "battle crates" and start putting efforts towards meaningful content please!
So your answer is to shove fellow players to other games as the idea of having a more hardcore experience is not your cup of tea?
I have both of those games and can make you a page long list of why GRW is the better platform for the large scale multiplayer experience if it existed. I guess I could always just play Arma 3 but unfortunately that is not on console.....
I'll refrain from trying to lable the type of player you are, but it is apparent that our interest in this game and discussion are not aligned as you appear to be okay with how this game, it's DLC, and multiplayer experience has turned out.
Battle royale doesn't represent hardcore experience. That said, if you want PvP and battle royale, ask the developers who actually make those game modes to improve their game experience.
This game was built to be PvE and if you want to talk hardcore stuff, then it should be under PvE experience. Not everything has to cater to you PvP people.
