My question is why. It makes no sense to me. One, it's a zero-sum game, you cannot win unless the other team loses. Why not take every advantage to win? Two, There are no consequences, for breaking the rule, so why follow it? Three, how is it Honorable is it to not assist your ally? Four, if this is how you want to play, why not just do 1v1? Why remove the “Brawl” from Brawl mode?
The only thing I can think of is that the community has decided to be nice to noobs, and this is how that's expressed. If that's the case, then this is the most welcoming PvP community I have ever seen.
But that's just a hypothesis, what do you have to say about this?
We've seen a lot of threads about this subject (sometimes a lot saltier than this one, so thank you for the tone of this post). People started writing up prospective honor codes shortly after launch. Part of it is definitely the culture of the FH community.
But as the redditor linked above said, "this is a fun list of unofficial rules." It should "not, in no way shape or form, be the default." I kind of look at it in the same way I look at a non-lethal run of a stealth game. People just start adding rules because restricting yourself allows you to have a different experience.
