hey guys at ubisoft,
talking about the story of the division - do you think that the virus could evolve at a time to a kind of z-virus, which would bring out another fraction, namely zombies and could emphasize the survival character of the game? and which could increase the tension espacially - but not only - in free roaming...
will there be a day(z)?
thank you for reply.

Unfortunately, they've said on multiple occasions that there won't be zombies in this game. I personally think they're missing a huge opportunity though. They don't even have to classify them as zombies, just infected. Like that one movie, The Crazies. There was a chemical spill in a small town that made everyone go crazy except a select few who were immune to the virus. Could be the same scenario here, but just a mutated version of the green poison.
I think it'd be kool to have swarm enemies. Not zombies but the Divisions version of it. Lots of weak and dumb AI that go straight for you.
Could be cannibals, chemed up junkies, packs of feral dogs, desperate civilians, ect.
Could be used for Resistance waves, Underground mission, Story mission directive, WSP alerts, A global event, or even just an occurrence in the LZ.
I like the idea because it's fun to defend against overwhelming numbers; not like resistance where maybe 8-10 dudes might be attacking but weak enemies that could being groups of 20-30.
I imagine an Underground mission where a massive group of Civilians traveled deep into the UG because of rumors of a tunnel that leads out of Manhattan however they got lost down their.
Your missions is to go down and check if the exit out of Manhattan is real.
However you don't know that the Civilians that went down deep into the UG have survived and have been down their so long that they resorted to eating each other to survive.
Maybe could have a good ending to the mission where everyone is taken back to the train and a bad ending which results in their massacre, by the player, Cleaners or just being left in the UG.
In that case I imagine a lot of desperate civilians trying to survive, and their outcome might depend on the player or something outside the players control like Cleaners turning up.
