That’s any insanely gross and horrible insinuation you just made. No point in dealing with you, hopefully the mods will see this obscene crap and deal with it.Originally Posted by ROWEMEISTER Go to original post

The point is that more game modes will attract more players. By far the biggest complaint I hear amongst those I play with is the squad size is too small and most on my friends list have stopped playing. I actually agree that more than 4 players would be too much in the current game modes with current classes, but a straight forward respawn mode in teams, without class restrictions could easily take more players on these maps and boost the overall player count.
This kind of mode is not competition for the existing game modes, it complements them and keeps the player base more active. Yes other games, including the previous GRs had it, but that's for a reason don't you think; it's popular.
Oh, you missed those threads/posts last April/March, lol.Originally Posted by Chipdog27 Go to original post
I think the problem is the ideas people have in their heads. Some feel TDM will split the community and cause development to aim for a more fast paced run and gun style. Others feel it will bring in more players adding to the community.
While one side fear what the changes to the pace of the game the other willing embraces that possibility.
Fact is none of us know for sure how this would effect the game in the long run.
I am of the don't want any development time to be spent which possibly favors a faster paced game nor bring in the fan base that lives for twitch shooters. I would prefer they keep the game as is pace wise just make some slight adjustments and fine tune what they already have and carve out their own little niche of the market.
I think if you begin to trying to attract the fan base that wants a faster pace game, with respawn. I feel the same thing will happen to this game as what happened to socom. I was there when they began going to respawn, run and gun style and away from the tactical stealth action that drew most of us to the game in the first place. To use the argument "had it in previous game" isn't a valid point. While yes they had it in a previous title and some enjoyed that. Doesn't mean it should be brought into wildlands.
The lack of a death penalty will cause a less tactical style of game to take place. Simply because if you remove that, people will care less about dying "don't matter I'll be back in 10 seconds" while yes it might be a fun game it will change the nature of the game.
But to sit here and try to spue some imaginary figure you think will happen aka the "double the player base" is a flat out false statement. Just to try to justify your argument. Leaving out that once the game play changes as a result you'll lose some fans gain others etc etc. Their would be a "fallout" from this choice. Just because some people want it for their own various reason, doesn't make it the right choice or fit with the theme of the game itself.
Honestly think the ones who want it are the type that get bored quickly. They want a constant state of action and hate the spectator time. I'm guessing they charge in maybe kill a couple people die fast and spend most of their time watching others play. Now this isn't saying that all requesting this mode are like this I just think a vast majority of them are.
They want quick action, then sit on the Mic yelling at those people alive to revive them so they can get back into it. Or constantly ping their own dead body the entire time.
Basicly screaming I'm bored I died I want back in the action.
Tbh if we are not outnumbered or fear of losing I often mute them leave them dead the entire time even if I could revive I leave them dead. Sometimes going as far as sitting right next to their body. Then moving away.
In short while it might be a fun game mode, it might attract more fans. In the long run I don't believe it is worth the risk of changing the nature of the game, nor catering to that type of player. I seen what this did to socom. Don't do the same thing to Ghost War.
I completely agree. The answer IMO is more modes / options. If that happens through a revised Custom Match, that's fine by me. ....as long as we can still have a way to matchmake with randoms like the lobby system Lucian has mentioned.Originally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original post
I just don't see the all-in-one solution of Quick Match working in the long run. More modes and/or more options will allow players to find the gameplay experience that best suits their preferences. It could help keep current players who are thinking of leaving (like me), possibly bring back players who have already left and attract new players who may have thought GW wasn't worth considering for one reason or another.
