I like this idea... please make it happen... especially for Diabolic Mode
I do not like this idea... too much challenge discourages me... even in Diabolic Mode
WORST FINAL BOSS EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mitch Conner sucks as a final boss.
Final boss should be Kathulu and / or Professor Chaos. Professor Chaos in second story can be final boss and Kathulu in the final third part of the story's DLC should be the ultimate game's final ultimate super duper final boss, just cuz it makes more sense this way. (also why can story 3 not have more Kathulu creatures in it as bosses... makes further sense, and EVEN MORE SO, WHY IS THIS GAME SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EASY!!!!!????? Make it harder!!!! I thought Diabolic Mode would ruin me, but no, all I have to do is use the plant move to heal all my dudes and revive everyone at once (my plant lass Ultimate) and bam I win every freaking time....
The game needs more strategy, more challenge, and harder bosses, easier standard fights, but only the the boss battles should take 40 min or more to finish. Standard fights should only take me about 5 min at the most
Its just this game has a very unbalanced battle system to it. It copies the same methods of Elder Scrolls (a difficulty system I do not like cuz to me it is cheap and lazy.) The battle system needs a total reboot. Even the Danger Deck my buddy on steam was able to beat the whole thing in about 2 days. (2 DAYS?)
I find it a waste of my time to do a battle I already know I'm going to win, so it makes the game BORING as far as battles go. Why should I spend 40 min on a battle I know for a fact 9 times out of 10 I'm going to win even if I am in Diabolic mode.
Your battle system needs a reboot--its too easy. All Diabolic Mode does is decrease my characters HP make me do less damage and increase the enemies HP and make them do a bit more damage.... THAT'S IT!? You need to add strategy to your battles, and make me have to THINK and time my attacks.
There is just so much to do with this battle system and it seems sloppy and that you guys didn't take advantage of the FULL ABILITIES of the SYSTEM,
WHY NOT??????? Seems battles could be far more better than what they are right now.
Consider Golden Sun the fight with the DOom Dragon (I do not always win this battle) I find myself playing this game often though. Because there is a bit more strategy to them.
And keep in mind Final Bosses are the highlight of any game, you can't have lazy final boss fights, it leaves me feeling unaccomplished.
Some tips:
1: Make us need to rely on inspection mode more often in the game. So far I have not had to use it ONE TIME in any battle.
2: Make us need to be more creative and strategist more with our Time Farts and our Special Abilities (Why can't we be DENIED using a move like in Mario RPG for SNES when in the Forest Maze level that boss used buttons you were denied to use until the boss switched it to a different button to lock.
3. There needs to be a penalty or something done with the plant class ultimate move.... this is the biggest reason the game is way too easy. You can revive everyone and literally go back to full health EVERY TIME and it makes the game just soooooo darn easy with people bragging how easy the game was even in Diabolic Mode and this should not be the case. make make it 10x harder to get the Ultimate the harder the mode is the harder it is to use the Ultimate Move.
4: As I just said, the harder the difficulty setting is THE LONGER IT SHOULD TAKE to charge the ultimate. (and I do mean in Diabolic mode it should take a VERY long time to charge that ultimate ability (people should rely more on other tactics than this Plant Class Ultimate--it is just sissy and lazy to use it all the time and say "I WIN" on hardest difficulty *I WIN" just lazy on the player's part).
5. There needs to be a counter for Time Fart abilities IN BATTLE, using them all the time for every reason makes the game too easy. Like in Stick Of Truth, why can't we have a manna bar to indicate if we can use it or not? And try not to go over board on Mana supplies. Time Farts are way too useful in the game and to get to use those farts should require some special exploring through the world finding those items to charge the mana pool (and they should be horribly expensive in the stores)
Lastly Beef up the bosses, tone do tone down the standard fights. I hate spending 5 to 10 min in a standard fight when the fight feels like it should only take about 3 to 5 min at most beat it move on to next battle. But boss fights need to be very much so BEEFED UP!!! All the bosses are too easy in this game even in Diabolic mode.
You need to give Niggorath more HP make it harder to avoid his swings into his mouth and crushes (his time before he strikes is shorter in the red zone) if you guys are not sweating when you are fighting a big boss, then we won't be either and the further the game goes, the harder the bosses should be. Mitch Conner is EASILY beaten, Mutant Kyle is NOT HARD and it feels more like the Stick Of Truth battle fits more as a final boss for the first story than Mitch Conner does. Why can't the King of that battle use his hammer? Like I did in the beginning of the game? And why doesn't he use all his fart abilities? Dragonshout, Cup of Spell, Nagasaki, the Sneaky Squeaker.... these are things that would make the battle make me have to THINK and use strategy.... but for some stupid reason they are excluded. And why doesn't he use the Sweet Katakana from the first game and the Shokrim? That can hit 6 targets randomly? Why can't the King in the final fight? WHY WHY WHY it would be such an awesome final boss if so.
Sorry for all the reading I had a lot to get off my chest here. Hopefully these things happen in upcoming DLC and / or improvements. They really would be improvements.
Stick of Truth battle should be the Final Boss fight of Fractured But Whole's first story.... not Mitch Conner. Or at least specify Mitch is not the final boss but The Stick Of Truth Fight is and Mitch is just tossed in there to progress the story cuz that is pretty much all he was.
