    UG Directive Intel

You made some great changes to the underground in 1.8:

    1. Added Hunters
    2. Added dailies
    3. Added weeklies
    4. Included the rave room in the rortation

then you went and locked most of it behind ridiculously high directive intel requirements.

If you're lucky you'll get a couple per 3-phase run. Yet two dailies cost anything from 12-20 directive intel. That means that you have to suffer 10 runs without directives just to do the dailies.

Of course, you can get directive intel outside of the UG; I got 3 from 10 Amherst mission runs yesterday. Again a pitiful amount.

Please remove the directive intel requirement from the pre-configured daily runs or significantly increase it's drop rate.

Add it to legendary exotic caches (like target intel)
Increase drop rates from UG bosses or elite NPCs
Add it to UG random loot crates
Increase (significantly) the amount in UG caches
Or just rewarrd some for each phase completed

If you don't fix the issue then the improvements to Underground will be worthless as nobody will be able to do the missions that they want in order to have a challenge..

    Totally agree.

UG is a really fun place to be, but the directive requirements and/or drop rates of the directive intel is ridiculously low.

Just did 5 single phase UG runs - no hunters, 1 piece of UG intel collected

Then did 3 2-phase challenge UG runs - 2 hunters and ZERO pieces of UG intel collected.

At this rate, it is extremely difficult to collect enough intel to run the number of missions required to do a weekly on a single character, let alone on all 4.

I hate this intel currency. Just unnecessary grind that does not add depth to the game.

Just a thought why they don't make those Intel something very useful like 10 Intel or 20 in 3 phase challenge and the 5 modifiers to reward us with classified piece.

Just another nerf to make u grind and play more

actually may have the opposite effect.

If the grind has no reward, people aren't going to do it and move onto something else in the game that actually has some rewards

The reason for it, is to keep matchmaking alive.

You earn the most intel when you join others with directives active and now with the specific daily matchmake options, you don't need to host them yourself.

This is again an incentive to group up, and I know some here on the forums hate that, but you still can do it solo, IF you're willing to grind the intel yourself.

But I don't want to join others. I'm quite happy and more than capable of doing them on my own. After all, the game box does say that solo play is viable.

What I don't appreciate is being forced to do repetitive boring missions (or anything really) just to have a chance of being dumped on by RNG when I open a weekly UG cache. Massive have been open about trying to add variety to global events so they aren't continuous Lex grinds. But in UG it's OK to force solo players into a monotonous grind just to collect intel? Am I the only one who sees the contradiction and hypocrisy in that?

    Totally agree.

Today I did a total of 50 phases, with a combination of hard/challenge and 1-2-3 phase missions.

Collected a total of 4 directive intel.

Really enjoy the UG as it is set up now, but the restriction on being able to collect intel is ridiculous.

At this rate, I might be able to collect enough intel to do a weekly on one of my four characters maybe once a month, if I am lucky?
Is this the expected utilization of this game mode?

The argument that this is intended to make people matchmake and play as a group is also ridiculous.
I have soloed heroic UG (back when that existed) and pretty much every other mode this game has to offer, including incursions. To require I matchmake to participate at a higher difficulty level in the UG is insulting.

HVTs have a reasonable "grind" to collect intel with S&D missions. There isn't anything similar for the UG.

So why not have daily hard and challenge missions at least have a neutral (instead of negative) intel balance for a successful completion?
And increase the intel drop rate so each character has at least a chance of collecting enough intel to complete the weeklies every week.

The game is in such a good place right now, I hate to see one of my favorite modes get ruined by something silly like the intel drop rate.

Then don't join others, it's fine. But then you'll miss out on quicker intel collection by own choice.
