Thinking of returning to the game

So I haven't played the game since it's release, but a friend of mine is asking me to come play with him. I'm just wondering, since I didn't get the season pass upon release, how much would it cost me to get caught up DLC etc wise? Is there a one package for everything purchase I can make?

How is the game doing now days?

DLC cost wise I'd just LMGTFY so I'd just say Google it yourself

You're going to get a range of opinions asking how the game is doing but it's in a pretty good place right now IMO but I'm biased, I love the game. If your friend is asking you to come play I'd suggest just coming back without the DLC, there is plenty available to play without DLC, see if you like where the game is now, and make the decision then.

You will grind your face off to get good gear since you are so far behind. It's fun, but you have to get a set that fits your playstyle. But know - Striker/Pred/Nomad is the best in the game right now only when classified. Final measure, D3, Sentry, Reclaimer, Lonestar, and whatever other classified sets are pretty much useless at this point. As well, the skulls MC builds have pretty much died on the arrival of classified sets as there are tank builds that do better DPS than it does by far.

    This a PvP reply.

From a PvE perspective gear is in a good place.. By the time you're current gear is sorted out and you're reacquainted with the game we'll be into the Global Event (end of the month). That will be your first real shot at full sets of classified gear. After that event the drop rates will increase on all sets at some point.

This is the third thread like this in 3 days... other replies

Mad-Cap is right, definitely a PVP reply.

Because Sentry and Reclaimer are top tier PvE sets. Lonestar is great damage and Final Measure does work in Clear Sky, Falcon Lost.

Hell, Final Measure is a top PVP set (4th, imo), and D3 is on the rise.

now's a good time to come back as any. but i'd say practice movements and controls everyday for a while to be confident in your playstyle before jumping in on pvp activities
